Do i need a stand mixer and a hand mixer?

Hey everyone! Our shower was this past weekend and it was absolutely beautiful! We registered for a hand mixer, which we got at the shower. And my grandma sent us a big kitchen aid stand mixer. Does anyone have both, or think that both are necessary?

I've had both for years (inherited a Kitchen Aid when my grandma downsized) and I use the big KitchenAid much more than the hand mixer. To be fair, it lives on my counter, so to me that's easier than digging in the closet for the hand mixer and finding the beaters in the drawer, etc. I also just purchased my first attachment for the KA (veggie sheet slicer) and now I want to see what else I can attach to it LOL
