Do i need to provide a meal for my day-of-coordinator who's working 4pm-8:30pm?

Layla, on January 6, 2022 at 10:55 AM Posted in Planning 0 12

Since it's only 4 hours I assumed I wouldn't, so I didn't order anything. Is this okay? I will let her know to enjoy cocktail hour food with us.

I would say if they are there for dinner time you should provide a meal.

I would absolutely provide a meal if she'll be working during dinner time.

I agree with the others. Definitely include a meal for her and all vendors working during dinner time.

Completely agree with all the previous posters- you need to provide a meal for all vendors working during meal time

I think it would be better to provide one or at least offer it up to them and if they decline then ok but at least ask since that is during dinner time

Yes provide a meal for her. I think it would be rude to say she’s good enough so “snack” food but not a full meal. If you offer her one she may decline. I offered a meal to all of my vendors.

She’ll be with you much longer than that with no time or opportunity to sneak out to McDonalds. Definitely feed her the same thing you will feed your guests and photographer.

Read the contract. It may be a requirement.

Even if it's not a requirement, it's the nice thing to do. You should definitely be providing her a meal.

Yes definitely a meal. A day of coordinator does more than just be there day of. At least most do. Mine is handling all our contracts in the month leading up and will be there with us all day.

Also check your contract. A lot of vendors put requirements for meals/ dinner breaks in their contracts
