Do Not Play list!

I don't want any line dances like those. I don't want any wildly inappropriate songs (like WAP) and no songs about breakups.

Song #1 on my Do Not Play list is the Chicken Dance! We're still figuring out our music lists for our DJ, so not sure what else we're adding to the Do Not Play list yet.

The only song on my do not play list is Don't Stop Believing (I'm a huge Journey fan, actually seeing them next week) but, this song is just sooo overplayed it bothers me. I also requested no line dances like you lol

Lol our crowd likes line dances, so we'll probably have a few. I don't want any sad songs, break up songs, or specific ones tied to bad memories.

The Electric Slide

I'm with you on line dances, but my fiancée totally disagrees! She really wants to play the cupid shuffle, the wobble, and so on. She thinks people like them, and she thinks it would be funny to watch drunk relatives do the wobble. I'm putting my foot down; no one is doing the chicken dance at our black tie wedding!

However, if you want some crowd pleasers, google "songs white people lose their s*** to".

I kid you not.... the DJ at my brother and sister-in-law's wedding played Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats". What the heck?!?! I wouldn't think anyone would have to put that on their "do not play list", but currently that is the one and only song on mine. My family still laughs about it (when my brother and sister-in-law aren't around). We have no idea how that ended up being played.

Still deciding on my playlist

Oh my, I have such a long do not play list! I think I will have to relax my iron grip on music and just trust the DJ, but basically I don’t want any songs played that I don’t personally like.


Do not play includes: the obvious silly things like Chicken Dance, Macarena, YMCA etc., but also 90s pop like Nysnc, Britney Spears, etc. which seems to be a thing at weddings these days, absolutely no rap or hip hop, nothing about break ups or sad songs, or anything with negative memories for either of us.
