Can we talk about songs we absolutely do NOT want played at our weddings? I’m not a huge fan of line dances, but like the Cupid Shuffle, so I added hokey pokey, chicken dance, cotton eyed joe and cha cha slide to my Do Not Play. Can we talk about songs we absolutely do NOT want played at our weddings? I’m not a huge fan of line dances, but like the Cupid Shuffle, so I added hokey pokey, chicken dance, cotton eyed joe and cha cha slide to my Do Not Play. Also, the Grease mega mix is annoying to me (sorry if you love it! Just not for me). Any other songs bother you or you would rather avoid?

    I truly don't care, I am there to have fun and get married, if guests want to dance to line dances and it keeps everyone on the dance floor than so be it.

    Yep same if I did not have line dances my guest would leave. We are hugely dance friendly crowd. American line dances and Nigerian traditional dances as well as Sorority strolls. I am not familiar with the Chicken Dance and the last time I did the Hokey Pokey was when I was 5. I am quite confident if I even attempted to introduce those two dances the wedding would come to a halt. But that’s cute if people want to go in that direction.

    I 10000% did not want any chris brown songs played. i don't support artists like that.

    i think my husband just didn't like cardi B so he said no cardi B

    i also asked there not be any songs with foul language there was a lot of children at my wedding

    I am telling the DJ no raunchy lyrics til after 830 when all the good Christian’s have left the building - I will only have the kids from the wedding party there and they will be back at the hotel by that time too lol. Till then radio edits and wholesome lyrics.

    I have an acquaintance who said she was going to have the DJ play this... I promptly said over my dead body. Her humor is always sarcastic and off color. Wish I could uninvite her. She is coming with her parents who are my long time friends. Ughhh

    White Wedding - I don’t really mind Billy Idol but I am not a fan of that song. Probably no line dancing unless it’s requested of the dj from a guest - I won’t prohibit anything but Idol 😁

    I like line dances, there are no songs that I wouldn’t play at the wedding. Both of us are not picky, I’m more concerned about people having a great time then the list of songs not to play. Besides I have so many other things to worry about when it comes to the wedding
