Do not play songs

I blacklisted artists I didn't want played at all rather than songs.

Every wedding I have gone to plays Cotton Eye Joe. Every wedding I'm the only one who stays on the dance floor cause no one else knows or is willing to learn the line dance. So while I enjoy it, it shall not play at our wedding.

We banned Any sort of line dancing or group dancing (Macarena, electric slide, chicken dance, etc), dollar dance, and Beyonce!

We will be using genres, artists, and likely specific songs. I know for me, no mummers music (Philly girl) and no line dances. For FH, no Madonna. Both of us want to avoid artists like justice bieber, many new rap artists, and some others I'm sure.

The flip to this is we will be having guests submit song requests with RSVPs and will likely approve most of these with a more open mind because we want them to be happy. Only hard rejections on anything seriously awful. This also allows us to prevent requests at the reception as they will have been made already. And, vetted.

I was planning on mostly doing do not play artists with maybe only a couple songs. There are definitely artists each of us would not like to hear so that feels easier

Interesting thread, that's hard to decide! Me and FH like different kinds of music but certain artists we aren't fond of. We'd definitely have to think about that.

My religion is very conservative when it comes to music. Nothing involving swearing or sexually charged. Have to keep it very clean. Don’t want to offend anyone!! Lol

No cheesy repetitive line dances. No disco. No rap.

No specific "don't plays" but we will pretty much be making our own playlist. It's lots of country and one dances because it's very us. No heavy metal/screamo but that's typical haha
