Do you celebrate your anniversary?

Soon2Bemarried, on November 20, 2020 at 7:29 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 9
Do you celebrate your marital/relationship anniversary? How often and what do you do to celebrate? Vacations? Date nights? Flowers?

After the milestone 5, 10, 20 year mark...do you still celebrate?

My fiancé and I just celebrated our tenth year anniversary this month by renting an Airbnb cabin and doing a little staycation there. We celebrate our anniversary every year, usually with a cozy little vacation where we unplug, cook meals for each other, give gifts, and just hang out. In the past we’ve also done larger trips, and expensive date nights. We’ll probably keep celebrating our dating anniversary after we get married, maybe to a smaller degree than our marriage anniversary, but definitely celebrating every year together.

We celebrate every year. Sometimes a weekend away in Cape Cod, sometimes a whole week in another state/country. Our 5th anniversary we will be celebrating with our marriage and plan to continue to go on vacations every year after. I think it's a nice tradition to have

We're only on 3, so I can't say for sure about the milestones - but for our first we went to Hannibal, MO for a weekend, for our second we got the all inclusive seats at a Cardinals game, and for our third we quarantined - but we ordered delivery and had a good time . . . we probably would have done something this year if it weren't for COVID.

For our first two we had our picture taken, for the third, not so much lol

ETA: Wedding anniversary - we didn't keep track of "dating anniversary"

We celebrate our anniversary every year by simply going out to a nicer restaurant for lunch, usually a seafood place.

We usually did very nice things for our dating anniversary.

Unfortunately, this year, our dating anniversary came right after we found out I was miscarrying, and then our 1st wedding anniversary, was, of course, in the middle of a pandemic.

At least for the latter we were able to do outdoor dining.

I don't understand not celebrating your anniversary, but, then again, my dad and stepmom frequently forget when theirs is... (to be fair, I was a witness at that wedding, and *I* forget when it was... and I love my stepmom.)

We celebrate each year. Because we both work 6 days a week and only have Sunday off we celebrate the whole month. We go out each Sunday for a nice brunch or tea then do something cultural. Luckily our anniversary was just before the lockdown, not sure what we will do this year.

We celebrate every relationship anniversary! We usually go on a vacation somewhere out of state for 4-5 days and that's what we plan to always do! Now our marriage anniversary is the same day so we'll continue to celebrate.

My birthday is 3 days after our anniversary so it's always an anniversary/birthday celebration!

Our dating anniversary is now our wedding anniversary. We plan on celebrating each year. We’re not big gift people (we like experiences more), so we’ll probably do an anniversary trip to celebrate each year.

We always celebrate our dating anniversary, but it’s on New Year’s Eve, so we will probably still celebrate but not like we do now because we’d rather celebrate our wedding anniversary when it comes. Having an anniversary on New Year’s Eve is EXPENSIVE haha so I’m happy to trade it in!
