Do you check in with each other before making a big purchase?

Do you check in with your fiancé(e) before making a big purchase and vice versa? Never, always or sometimes? Next Question: Do you ever creep through your fiance(e)'s phone? Back to the Beginning: Never, Always or Sometimes?

Anything that cost over $50 (aside from gifts which have a $100 limit) we check with each other before buying it.

Absolutely! Anything reoccurring or larger than $50 we at least let each other know if not have a discussion about it. For gifts, like Christmas, we set a budget that we both decided on together.

Sometimes, we are pretty independent still, we both have jobs, but we do talk about everything, as a woman sometimes i do change the prices on my items!

Of course! We are very strict when it comes to our money and how it is used. We always consult with one another when it comes to buying certain things. When it comes to clothing, we will tell the other what we are getting but it does not need to be "OKed" by the other.

Always. Plus we are both pretty indecisive, so we usually need to talk things out anyways, so it works!

Only time we don’t is when it’s a gift for one another. Even when we’ve discussed it before, before making that final purchase step we always call the other to double check hey here’s the amount

Always, unless it's a gift except I'm super bad at keeping even that under wraps...

How big are we talking? I’ll dirnd a couple hundred dollars at target but I manage our finances. If he die then that amount and it wasn’t in my budget I’d be mad. He checks with me but I don’t check with him.

For sure, unless it’s a gift for him as a surprise. We are adults with bills and responsibilities neither of us would make a big purchase without the other knowing

I’ve never had to. All of my big purchases such as a grad school class ($2,500) or an international plane ticket for vacation ($500-1000), he already knew I was planning on purchasing and I would work a second job for a few months to save the money and prepare. I never had to check in because I’ve always kept him in the loop from the beginning.

What Alexandra said! Always, unless it's a surprise gift of sorts. :-)

Always. Our funds are pooled, so it's a sign of respect for each other
