Do you check in with each other throughout the day?

Most of the time, yes!

We text a little bit through the day, but we both teach so there isn’t a lot of down-time. I have a little bit more than she does since I teach post-secondary while she teaches elementary,

Always/sort of? He works nights, so he's usually asleep during the day, and my job has little to no cell reception in the building, and spotty wi-fi, so we don't get to talk much during the day. Sometimes his job is super dead, so at nights, right before I go to bed, we get to talk on the phone. That being said, we can't go more than a few hours awake without texting each other, even if the texts don't get replied to for a couple of hours.

Usually, for the most part yes we do. Unless FH is way too busy with work than we won't but he will usually call me to check in when he can.

We text all day long everyday. I get up in the early morning hours to go to work. When he wakes up he normally texts me Good morning baby. For the most part we talk all day long even when one both of us are busy or just one of us. Every once in while he will call me to tell me something or just to hear my voice. When I have to work long hours we will video chat so we can see each other. When he out of town without me he will call to check on me and sure I'm okay

Sometimes, it just depends how busy we both are at work.

We text throughout the day, but he's in the medical field so he can't always text back immediately!

Always! Since we started out long distance, FaceTime has been our friend. We FT during most of his work breaks and sometimes on his way home. Also, when I travel home. If not, text messages or calls on the phone. These are mostly on his part. He doesn’t like to spend a minute away. Boy, I thought I was clingy! We have both eased up though. He doesn’t call as much and I don’t mind the calls. We even have the Life360 app bc I’m always afraid he’s in a ditch from a car crash or something. Lol! Absence does make the heart grow fonder so we try to make time away from each other.

We text while he’s at work and as much as we can while I’m at work

Always. We text and just say hi, see what each others having for lunch, something small. Not really full blown conversations which can be saved for later at home.

Yes we do! I call to chat on my lunch break and on my way home from work. I like to see how his day is going and ask if he needs anything. Also see what he wants for dinner - not that he ever makes that decision lol

Absolutely, but more-so texting one another than phone conversation.
