Do you have nights for “no wedding talk”?

During the craziness of wedding planning, it’s important to step back and enjoy some wedding-free time together. Do you and your fiancé(e) have nights where you ban the wedding talk? Never, always, or sometimes? Do you find it difficult to limit or is it a much needed break? Next Question: Do you...

Next Question: Do you snuggle... while sleeping?

Or start from the beginning here: Never, Always, or Sometimes?

Never, he knows I'm super excited so he jumps right into the conversation.

After dinner its time for "us" we play board games, watch movies and work on mutual hobbies. Anything stressful is set aside until the next day unless its vitally important

    Sometimes?
More like we need to set aside time to actually talk about it... rather than time not to.

We really only talk about what we need to talk about with the wedding and he is just as excited as I am so we never really have to deem a day or time for no wedding talk.

Clue is my favorite! I'm always looking for new games! We'll have to check out Cribbage. We love playing this game called Phase 10! Highly recommend for your next board game night!

That's a good idea! Do you usually try to sit down for a while and hammer out all the details? Or do you plan the time just as wedding things pop up?

I limit wedding talk as much possible...thank goodness for Wedding Wire. I only bring it up if I need something from him, otherwise we don't speak about it. This may change as we get closer to the actual date, so I am giving him a "wedding vacation" for the moment. Lol! Poor thing has no idea what's about to happen to him in a few months!

Well, sometimes I will see something that will give me an idea for the wedding. (Same with him)

We have very different ways that our minds work. So when I have an idea, I like to research more about it and decide if it's an actually possibility or option. Meanwhile, he thinks that all these little ideas I bring up are what I want. So to him it's confusing because he thinks I'm changing my mind all the time.

It's a lot easier when we set aside time to actually sit down at a coffee shop to discuss and agree on certain things and write it down on Google docs.

We probably should but since we have less than a year to go it doesn't happen very much. We are trying to lock down our venue and date so its crazy.

Do you think, as you two get closer to your date, you two will try to schedule non-wedding talk time?!

Always - Friday nights in this house are always no wedding talk allowed.

I'm a postgrad student, who also has work in-between classes, and DF has a high pressured job. We both appreciate being able to chill out on a Friday night, after a long week, without any wedding talk.

Its finally to the point where we just don't talk about it, but we don't have a set day...
