Sometimes there's a good reason to keep a secret! Whether you're planning a surprise for your fiancé(e), keeping a trusted friend's secret confidential, or you know that your future spouse is a huge blabbermouth - do you ever keep secrets from your S.O.? Never, always, or sometimes? Next Question:...

Sometimes, if it's for a surprise or something personal that a friend/relative asked me not to share with anyone. I try really hard not to have secrets though because I talk to him about EVERYTHING and wouldn't want it any other way.

Surprises only. We tell each other everything. Secrets can kill a relationship and lead to no trust I love him too much for that.

Never. Only if it's a surprise of some sort.

Depends on the secret? If it's something with my bf that's girl talk and I'd think she'd be embarrassed if anyone knew then I won't say anything. Other than that, no secrets.

I think I sometimes do keep secrets, but nothing serious or detrimental to our relationship. It may be about surprises, gifts, or something a friend asked me not to say.

Sometimes gifts of confidential information that I can’t share as long as it doesn’t relate to him.

Only for things like gifts or trips. I couldn't purposely keep anything else from him.

Rarely, but when I do, it has NOTHING to do with him.

Always. One can rely on me in any circumstances, really.

    Sometimes. I'm a very good secret-keeper.

    Gifts or surprises, obviously.

But also, if someone else tells me a secret, it is not my business to tell my husband. And I expect that same respect from him.

Trust takes many forms. You have trust as spouses, but other people in your life also have trust in you. Being married shouldn't mean breaking others' trust. I don't think spouses are inherently entitled to absolutely everything you know or have been told, and I don't think that is being dishonest, either.
