Do You Plan To Wear False Eyelashes?

on April 18, 2019 at 10:32 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 23

I am debating if I am going to wear false eyelashes. I don't normally wear heavy makeup and false eyelashes however I do see a big difference that it can make. Any thoughts?

I wore them for a friend's wedding and they felt super weird for like 5-10 minutes, and then I got used to wearing them. I liked them, so I think I'll do it for the wedding.

I don't wear any daily make-up, unless I am going to a special event. I plan to wear false eyelashes for my wedding, because they show up better in pictures (I've worn them before for pictures).

Absolutely! They immediately draw attention to your eyes in photos and they make me personally feel so glamorous. It takes my regular makeup to a 10 with one little thing. Ultimately these pictures are the only time I will ever take wedding pictures. It is important to me that those little details that do make a difference are done. Plus, you can get inexpensive ones at ulta or a drug store for like $4 if you want to get used to them.

I'm do I'll ng eyelash extensions! I know it sounds scary but if you think about it, if you're doing the whole shebang, Bach party, bridal shower, rehearsal dinner and the wedding, you will have beautiful lashes for all those events! I personally cannot stand false lashes but extensions (while expensive) I can tolerate and personally think they are worth every penny!

I know most people do, and I know they show up better in pictures, but I’m not. I’ve been blessed with pretty long thick eyelashes to begin with lol, and I don’t even normally wear makeup on a day to day basis. I do recognize the benefit of wearing fake lashes but I just feel like it’s really not “me.” I’m sure my pictures will come out just fine without them!

Depending on how many weeks you have before your wedding, I would look into Latisse. It's amazing and takes around 16 weeks but it's your own eyelashes! I have been using it for 6 months and I love it and get compliments and questions all the time on my lashes on whether or not they are real. Look into it!

If you decide to, (I will), have your MUA put them on at your trial, or if you're doing your own, but wear them for a while! When I did my makeup trial, they were fine for a while, but slowly a little bit of the curl came out and they started poking my brow bone. So now i know that she will have to trim the eyelashes just a little so they dont do that. Just some hopefully helpful advice!

I've had eyelash extensions for about a year now, and I will tell you, they are expensive but very worthwhile and life-changing. I wear a full face of makeup for work every single day, and having them has literally shaved 10 minutes off of my routine. I no longer wear eyeliner or mascara.

I know you mentioned you don't typically wear much makeup, but I would highly recommend getting them for your big day. They last anywhere from 2.5-3 weeks in between fills, so they would stay on during your honeymoon as well (assuming you plan to leave right after your wedding, that is). A lot of people will warn you that they pull your real eyelashes out; however, as long as you don't pick or pull them, they will shed with your natural eyelashes, and you will have absolutely no damage. I can personally attest to that.

I'm with Gen. I don't think I will. I have never worn them. I do have my trial tomorrow so I may have the MUA put them on to test. If they don't feel good, I will not wear them. No sense in torturing myself.

I wore thick mink lashes on my wedding day which were gorgeous. Lashes make the eyes pop, especially in photos.

I rarely wear them but am happy I did for my wedding! My MUA cut them so they looked more natural but they did make my eyes stand out more.

I had a pair (way too long) for my engagement pictures and didn't like them. They were super heavy and started to fall off pretty quick. For my wedding makeup trial, I had (new girl) put on a pair but trimmed them down. I really liked them, but I think I still want them trimmed a smidge more.

I am! I went and got my makeup done At Ulta for a date and she recommended false lashes. I absolutely loved them! They take a minute to get used to, but they stayed on all night.

I am! I agree with whoever said they feel weird at first but you get used to them! I am having my MUA do my makeup trial the same day as my bridal shower just make sure I don't mind having them on all day opposed to just a few hours for an event but my plan is to wear them! I just think they look better.

I am! I had no intention of it because FH has always said he hates them. But I talked it over with my MUA and she convinced me to try them and we both LOVED them. They look so good in pictures too!

I've had lash extensions in the past (Novalash) and the look is AMAZING. I love them so much, but after having had them for about a year, discontinued. I wanted to be able to physically rub my eyes again (something you can't do with extensions).

I've also had false lashes put on before when I had a pinup shoot done and I think they are a little akward. They look good though.

I will probably be getting ghe extensions again for my wedding, however I've been using Rodan & Fields lash extender and this product is absolutely amazing! My lashes are naturally long and great with this product. So as the time goes on we'll see for sure which I choose.

They feel weird but you won’t be able to see your eyes in photos so I recommend them. It’s not like taking a close up selfie where you can see everything, you’ll want your eyes to pop out extra.

I wore them! I had strip lashes glued on. My MUA was great, and I didn't feel them at all once they were on. My mom also wore them, but decided to do the individual lashes since her natural lashes are thin and a lot lighter than mine. The strip ones would have looked incredibly unnatural lol. But I definitely think wearing lashes made a HUGE difference in my photos!

I'm getting eyelash extensions, but if I weren't I'd wear false eyelashes for sure. I don't want my eyes to look bald haha. Especially from far away
