Do you really need bathroom baskets

Megan, on December 25, 2018 at 9:56 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 16
Is it really necessary to have bathroom baskets?
There's a pretty decent gap between my ceremony and reception, and it's hosted at a hotel where most guests are staying where people can refresh in between if that's why they are made. I've been to plenty of weddings where they aren't there and I haven't missed them.

Curious!!

I wasnt planning on having one for the same reasons you mentioned. Also given the the closest restroom is open to any of and everybody....its just an expense that I dont find necessary. I dont think I've see a bathroom basket at any of the recent weddings I've been to.

I’ll be having one because my friends know me as the person that’s extra prepared Smiley tongue but even I’ll say it’s extremely optional

I see that as totally optional and not at all necessary. I won't be doing one cause I don't want to pay for it. Bathroom is plenty stocked already.

A bathroom basket is a basket of toiletries and items that guests may need during the night that is kept in the bathroom. For example, some common items include: tampons/pads, safety pins, floss, mints, band-aids, hand lotion, hair elastics, bobby pins, deodorant/body spray, and chapstick/lip gloss.

OP, they are not necessary at all. I made one for my guests because I like these little details and it didn't cost too much money. But this is up to you.

I going to do one but I’m VERY extra!! LoL the venue we have has a dedicated restroom area for my guests so it would not be utilized by anyone else.
This is a option that is not expected at all so don’t feel obligated to have them.

I’ll probably do one because I’ve always appreciated the gesture when I’ve attended a wedding that had one. Even if I didn’t use anything in the basket, I always thought it was a nice, extra-special touch.

The coordinator at our venue assured us that both the men's and women's bathrooms will be stocked with toiletries. So we don't have to do this ourselves thankfully!

I’m not doing this. I’m sure it’s not expensive but I honestly just can’t be bothered. Too many other things to do!

Not necessary. People will bring what they need. Personally, I've never ever used anything out of a bathroom basket because I think they're unsanitary with people hands all over the stuff.

I didn't know this is a thing? Personllay, I wouldn't do this. If I could avoid unnecessary costs, I would.

I'm putting one together as I am having an outdoor wedding in the beautiful San Diego mountains at an Air bnb.
