Do you really need someone to hold your dress while you pee?

Sherry, on December 10, 2014 at 6:44 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 44

Is it only some dresses, the majority? I just read about pee ready Spanx with a strategically placed hole...got a good laugh out of that one.

I think it depends on the dress. I had a sheath dress and did it all alone.

I had an a-line dress and I could do it myself. I just took off my undies and straddled the toilet while holding the dress. No problems.

I think this is more for brides with ballgowns.

Depends on the dress. For some miraculous reason, I never pee'd once at my wedding (and I pee all the time/have the smallest bladder in the world). BUT, you gotta do what you gotta do!

You don't!! You'll look and feel ridiculous, but if you straddle the thing backward, you can hold the front of your dress and keep everything clean. I read it in a bridal book and thought it was genius, albeit super ridiculous. The author said she even got a pic of it for laughs (since everything is covered) but I wouldn't go that far

I hope I don't! I have a ballgown. One of my friends thinks it's hilarious and has offered to help me (she's one of my oldest friends and used to be my step-sister) so I suppose it would be ok, I'm hoping I can do it myself though, hahaha.

I didn't even have to pee. I somehow managed to hold it (I honestly didn't even think about having to go at all). But I would have just bunched that sucker around my waist. I would never ask someone to help me while I peed.

The only person who comes to the bathroom with me is me, that includes when I get married.

I'm going to need help because I have a ball gown. I have also had to help 3 other brides so I'm not worried about it!

I had a mermaid gown, and I needed help. I almost made it to the end of the night without needing to use the bathroom, but drank a bit too much wine near the end of the night! We were all quite tipsy at that point, though, and found it hilarious.

Just follow this and you'll be fine - http://www.projectwedding.com/ideas/71269/peeing-while-wearing-the-dress

You really don't need anyone to help you in the bathroom. I didn't and I wore a ballgown.

Yeah I'm going to figure out a way to go alone, I don't like company in the potty room.

I don't think I'll need to if I do as Ashley described but the stalls are kinda small. That reminds me I need to ask where the disabled bathroom is I might just use that one.

Oh yeah, definitely use the handicapped stall, Kemmie. I had to use the handicapped stall since my dress was much too large for the other stalls.

I wasn't sure if I would so I brought my sister (who was my MOH - and changed my diapers when I was a baby, haha)) in with me. I didn't end up needing her though.

She watched me push a baby out, not too worried about a little peeing. Hah.

I have helped 2 other brides with their dresses. It's really no biggie!

Let me just say the pee hole spanx are not all they're cracked up to be. How do you pee out of a little hole?

Our attendants were my son and my daughter. There was no way I wanted either of them helping. I peed by myself (using the sitting backwards on the toilet trick), and did fine.
