Hi ladies!

So this is a weird question, do you wear your ring when you exercise outside? I go running a lot and I was just thinking if someone were to try to stop me and try to take my ring haha. I live in a pretty safe place but still, you never know what can happen. I have insurance on my ring to get it replaced no matter what happens to it but I just wanted to know what you guys do or if this has ever crossed your mind!

I always take mine off when I work out because I do orange theory and that includes rowing and weights so I dont want it on when I do that because the first time I did I was getting pinched between the ring and weights.

No ring at gym, laundromat (which is inconveniently where creepy guys lure), or when I'm at home for the day or something.

I take mine off when exercising. They have those silicone bands you can wear if you want to wear something when exercising. Do you ladies sleep or shower with your rings on? I take mine off when I shower because I am scared it will go down the drain!

I wore my ring once and it took me an hour to get it off. My fingers swelled up while working out. So I don't anymore.

I wear mine all the time. The more u take it off the more chances of losing it. If u have it insured u shouldn't worry about it but rather, enjoy it

I take mine off 90% of the time.. basically unless I got to the gym and forget- at which point I put it in a safe place.

I wore mine to the gym once, took it off when I got there, put it in my gym bag...

    Got home it was gone.

Next day at 4am- went to scour the gym and found it in the parking lot.

God must have a soft spot for me.

Since then I'm VERY careful that my safe place is truly safe

I take it off unless I don't have a place I feel comfortable storing it. If I can't leave it in my house or lock it in my gym locker, I leave it on. I used to store it in the glove box of my car while I was out on a run, but even that freaks me out, haha. When I first got engaged, my mother told me, "The safest place for that ring is on your finger." And I guess it stuck.

ETA: for weightlifting, if necessary, I have a pair of gloves I can put on over it to keep it from getting scratched, pinching myself, etc.

I 100% NEVER wear a ring while working out- not lifting- not cardio- only dancing- and even then sometimes I take it off depending on what we are doing.

My hands swell when I run- and it's HORRIBLE uncomfortable.

And secondly- one does not power lift with jewlery on unless you want it to deglove your finger.

Go ahead- google "degloving a finger" and let me know if you every touch a weight again with a ring on.

I also don't care about a silicone ring. not worth it- waste of time/effort/money- IMHO- I am not going to take off my real ring- and put on a fake one just so I can keep wearing one while lifting- it just- it's one extra step and it's superfluous to me. People don't need to know- I don't care if they know. I just need to work out. That's the end goal.

Depends on the weather and where i'm running. If it's a short run in my own neighborhood and/or under 75 F, no. If It's a trail run or really hot/humid, I swap it for my silicone ring.

The silicone isn't so people know I'm 'taken' - it's so I don't freak out while running because I suddenly realize my finger is NAKED-omg-where is the ring. The few seconds between realizing I'm not wearing a ring, and realizing that's deliberate and the ring is safe at home are awful.

I only take mine off when I'm lifting weights. Not when I'm running. I'll be honest, I've never had the particular thought you've described. Haha!

I trained for a marathon last year (and ran it) with my ring on! I NEVER take it off unless I'm prepping raw meat or cleaning with really harsh chemicals.

It's the same as walking if you think about it, you can walk and someone can come up to you and try to take your ring

When I go to the gym I take it off because I don't want it damaged

Make sure your policy covers the unexpected

I always wear mine. It's never even occurred to me that someone might try to rob me. I think it depends on the diamond. If you think it stands out over all the other married/engaged woman in your city then maybe it's best to only wear it for special occasions. I wouldn't think running would make you any more prone to robbery than any other day to day activities.

I never exercise with jewelry. I don't want to lose it, get sweat all over it or damage it.

I leave mine on when running outside, but turn it around so the diamond is facing my palm, no need to make it obvious I have expensive jewelry on.
