Do you spend time apart?

It's always healthy to spend some time doing your own thing when you're in a relationship - whether it's pursuing your own hobbies, having some "me time", spending time with your friends, or going all out on girl's night! Sometimes we do. We live AND work together. Sometimes he goes to his friends house. He dabbles in music so sometimes he'll be with a client in their studio. Sometimes I go out with friends. We do always let each other know where the other is going in any case something was to happen we would know where the other is

Sometimes. We usually prefer eachother's company to anyone elses and all of our friends are mutual.

Rarely unless I'm away on a work trip or my annual girls trip

Sometimes/often.. we both work full time. He goes to work about 3 hours before me in the morning, and then I'm out about 3 hours after he gets home. But, we also do stuff apart on the weekend... my two best friends like an hour and 2 hours away from me, so I'll often go visit one of them for a girls weekend... or I'll hang out with one or all of my sisters. He loves to fish, so he'll often go on fishing trips with his friends.

He works in the evenings and on weekends during the school year, so I've gotten used to having lots of "me time."

It feels like we always spend time apart. We don't live together because that's how we are doing it, but that means I live an hour away from him. However, an hour away from him is 30 minutes from my best friends so we have definitely spent more time with our friends than each other recently!

Sometimes. We do go off and do things individually, but not always on a regular basis.

Unfortunately we spend a lot more time away from each other than we'd like. I'm only home on Wednesday and Friday evenings, and I'm at my internship all day on Saturday. Sunday is the only day I don't have anything going on. And right now, I'm studying for my licensure and graduation exams so I don't see him at all right now. But, he also has tons of hobbies to keep him busy, so I don't feel too bad! He loves to golf, fish, and smoke (BBQ) so he always has something to do.

Yes, sometimes. I love to read, so I usually spend some time on the weekends doing that. Or I'll spend an afternoon with my daughter and granddaughter while he does something in the yard. We both have something that is "our thing" that the other person isn't really into as much. For me, it's reading. For him, it's doing something in the yard (weeding, planting, watering, redesigning the entire yard landscape lol).

Sometimes, we choose to have a day just to do something different and have some time away from each other. We do things together and we also do things apart to keep our relationship going.

Sometimes. We live together so technically we're always together, but I travel frequently (especially in the spring/summer) for work or my community service organization so that's generally time apart. When he visits his friends or family, sometimes I don't go to make sure they get quality time.

Eh. Not really, I mean with our work schedules and my 2 jobs we barely see each other as it is so we like to spend as much time together as possible, even if he is just playing a video game while i'm doing something else, we just like to be in each other's company. But occasionally we go out without each other, it just doesn't happen very often lol

Sometimes. We spend a lot of time together, and even more now that we’re planning a wedding together. But he plays basketball and video games with his friends and I love girls night in or late night outings with my girls every once in a while. There are days when we’ll choose to just be alone altogether and those are fine too

I can 100% relate to this.

We both have our own hobbies and interests, but we’re okay doing things on our own. I think it's healthy for a relationship and keeps the diner conversations interesting

Sometimes. Now that it is warming up outside, he loves to go fishing and that is my time for myself as well.
