Do you take off your ring...

Mine never comes off. Not in the shower, not when I sleep, not when I'm cleaning, not when I'm painting. I don't understand taking it off. Every time I see someone post about losing their ring after taking it off I don't understand. I don't see the point in taking it off.

Yes I usually remove mine whenever I get home in the evening and it is the last item I put on before leaving my house in the morning. Although it is insured I'm terrified of it falling down a drain or it slipping off as my fingers sweat at the gym

I dont wear my ring when I am in the house. I will put it on only when going out. I do not wear it to the gym or to play softbal. I am unsure if I will wear it to the beach for a regular trip, probably not. After the wedding I will wear my "plain" wedding band for all of those things.

I typically only take mine off when I'm kneading bread

I always keep mine on, mainly because it feels natural now...forget it's there sometimes and just because I love it so much.

Do whatever makes you feel comfortable.

Little tip for keeping it clean...every couple of weeks, use a tiny bit of toothpaste and a spare toothbrush and just give it a good scrub between the prongs. Sparkles like crazy again afterwards and doesn't cost you anything and you don't have to leave it at the jewellers for cleaning

The only time I take my wedding ring off is to use one particular weight machine at the gym. (The ring digs into my finger if I use that machine with my ring on.) However, my wedding ring is a plain gold band, and thus doesn't tend to get mucked up. And we elected not to have engagement rings.

I NEVER took off my engagement ring. My wedding ring I did start taking off while I was sleeping which was weird to me because I never took off my engagement ring. I was doing that because my husband used to take off his wedding ring when he slept. Now neither one of us takes our rings off. He lost his wedding ring within a month of the wedding and we had to get his another ring so he NEVER takes it off now. And I don't remove my wedding ring either.

I take my rings off to sleep, shower, clean and swim.

@Michelle, that's what I do! I keep a toothbrush and toothpaste in the shower specifically for my ring, I usually scrub it once a week while I'm waiting for my hair conditioner to soak in or something. I still need to take it in to the jeweler once in a while b/c I can't get into all the little nooks and crannies of my particular setting, and I want to have the prongs checked to make sure they aren't loose. But for the most part the toothbrush trick keeps it sparkly.

I ALWAYS flip the drain closed though for those few minutes, just in case it were to slip off my finger. It never has. But just in case.

I never ever take mine off! It fits well, so no worries. If i am making cookies or sculpting, i def take if off, but that's to make it stay clean!

I never take mine off, Ever. I work with horses, cooking, cleaning (including dog kennels, yummy!), I go four wheeling through mud, snow, it never comes off. The summer I get a ring tan, I've smacked myself in the head and cut myself open with my ring when my horse decided he wanted the reins. Even when it goes in for cleaning I will either draw a ring on my finger or get a cheap ring to wear temporarily. I'm so proud of my FH and my ring stands for a lot between us and I won't ever let it come off, if I could have it cleaned while wearing it I would! The way I feel is my ring sees just as much bacteria as my hand so when washing or showering I make sure I clean it too, Plus I'm tickled pink when it shines after being washed

I take mine off when I shower, swim, or do dishes. When wet, my ring slides more easily, and so I do not trust it especially because I spend alot of the time at the beach. Also, I have heard chlorine is bad for the rings, so I avoid wearing it in pools. I also usually take it off and hook it to my necklace when I clean houses especially if I deal with bleach or any harsh chemicals because I am scared of ruining the ring. I clean houses for a living so I am constantly around these chemicals.

Lol- yep. I am still the odd one. A little jealous that you ladies can wear your all the time but I wouldnt change my job for the world.

I take mine off to sleep, clean, shower lotion etc. I did keep it on at the beach this past summer, but was constantly worrying about it. My setting is pretty high so I am paranoid that I will loosen prongs or hit the top setting...I'm just "that" lucky :/

Only when doing any serious cleaning or putting lotion on... other than that it stays on. In the begining I didn't take a shower or anything with it. Now it's just there and i don't think to take it off

The only time I take mine off is when I'm crocheting or knitting (it spins and irritates me so I take it off) or when I'm doing something that will be messy, like making cookies, or changing the oil. I don't take it off otherwise, I'm forgetful and would lose it, so anytime i take it off I hand it to fh and he puts it on (we're the same size finger, it's totally weird to me)

Me too. Most of the time I removed my engagement ring in afraid of losing it. It is better to leave it in a safe place rather than wearing it all the time then losing it. For me I value the ring and not by the way it is wore or not.

I take my ring off when I am putting on lotion and cleaning, but other than that it stays on.

I take mine off when I shower, I leave it on the shelf in the bathroom and put it back on as soon as i get out. And I take if off at work and keep it in my locker only because were not allowed to wear them where I work.
