Does anyone take off their engagement or wedding ring while sleeping, working out, showering, cleaning, swimming...or any other time? Right before I got engaged, I started noticing women with rings on (probably because I had e-rings on my brain at all times!) at places like the gym and the beach and I was surprised. I would be afraid of losing it or catching it on something, etc. We got engaged in Vegas and spent a couple of days out at the pool while there. FH and I were both very adamant about leaving my ring locked up in the safe while we were at the pool. My sister mentioned sleeping and showering with hers on and I realized it never occured to me that it would be "safe" to do so. So how many of you leave yours on at all times?

I rarely take mine off, too afraid I'll loose it, I've become a scatter brain in my old age. LOL!!!

I never (i mean never) take mine off.... my mother begged for me to take it off so she can get a better look..but sorry you can see it just fine on my hand. With a two year old in the house if its not on my hand it could be anywhere. Plus i feel its disrespectful to take off a ring that has so much heartfelt meaning. That's my opinion at least

Like others, the only time I take mine off is when applying lotion (but it immediately goes back on).

One thing to note - if your ring has a stone with a hardness lower than a diamond (i.e., an emerald) that can be damaged by not taking it off when working out, etc., you would def want to take it off to protect it.

I love that you use the word "safe". That was the whole thought behind a new product my wife and I came up with. I misplaced my ring 3 days after our honeymoon. I work in construction and cannot wear it at work...WAY too dangerous, and it is also uncomfortable to wear at the gym. RingSafe is a modern clasp that secures any ring quickly & elegantly - preventing loss or damage to a cherished ring. It can go on a necklace or a keyring. It works, I wear it every day, even doing dishes. I also think it looks cool. Here is the facebook page if you are interested:

the picture is my ring...the one I misplaced and found the next day.
