Do you think it's rude for guest to wear white

Ok I'm 28 days away and starting to get overwhelmed. We are having a destination wedding and I thought planning would be less stressful. Boy, was I wrong! So being that we are so close to the wedding date I'm getting a lot of guest calling and asking can they wear white, a part of me don't care but...

Ok I'm 28 days away and starting to get overwhelmed. We are having a destination wedding and I thought planning would be less stressful. Boy, was I wrong! So being that we are so close to the wedding date I'm getting a lot of guest calling and asking can they wear white, a part of me don't care but the Bridezilla side wants to say Hell No!! Please help me decide which side to listen to. I have so many other things to think about besides a dress code. Thanks in advance!

I wish someone would give me a good reason why they don't like it other than under the guise of "respect," (I don't see how avoiding a color that the bride MIGHT wear is respectful) then I might give a damn.

I wouldn't wear an all-white dress ever because that shit is not flattering on me, but I do think it's hilarious when people care.

Honestly it wouldn't bother me that much, unless they were wearing a formal white dress and veil. Then it would be more weird than upsetting. But if it's bothering you, and they're asking, I don't think it's a big deal to ask them not to.

They shouldn't even be asking that how stressful!

Meh. I had two or three guests in white and it barely registered. I was just happy to see them.

Don't cave to your inner bitch now-- she'll ruin your day, Esther! Listen to your Zen-Lady who's saying, "Eh, who cares-- everyone will till know *I* am the bride! I just wish they'd stop calling me!"

If *you* care, say so, and stop polling the internet for permission to care. If you're wondering "Why would I care?" I think the answer is, "Cause they are both breaking with tradition *and* bugging you when you're busy."

Honestly, I don't get the big deal.

I mean, unless they wear a white fluffy ball gown or something, I'm pretty sure everyone will know who the bride is.

And I'm wearing a champagne dress... So does that mean no one else can wear champagne?

I personally look like crap in white, so I won't wear it to MY wedding or anyone else's. But I really don't think it's that big of a thing.

I would tell them that you prefer that they don't wear white but it's ultimately ended up to them what they wear...

I probably wouldn't care or notice if a guest wore white. But as a guest, I wouldn't wear white.

I'm curious as to how many people ACTUALLY called you ASKING if they can wear white. Seems so odd!

Anyway, it will be very clear that they are not the bride. I wouldn't worry too much.

It would annoy me but not ruin my day. It's petty to get super upset about- as others have said, everyone knows who's getting married- but I just side-eye people who wear white to weddings because really, you couldn't find ANY other color to wear?

It's your day, if you want to be the only one wearing white, then let people know!
