Do you tune each other out?

Never. We may not always fully listen if we're distracted or in the middle of something, but never tune each other out.

I try not to, but it happens sometimes. Classic example is when he's got his music on, and we'll be sitting together, me reading a book, him playing on his phone. He'll start to mutter to himself, or to the opponents of his game. It's kind of funny at times, but sometimes I just tune him out to more fully focus on whatever I'm reading. lol

Never. sometimes we get distracted or space out but we don’t purposely tune one another out.

I try not to but sometimes I tune out when he talks sports a little too much.

Sometimes. We both have sensory struggles so when we are dysregulated or nearing being burnt out we just turn off that auditory processing.

We we have a note writing habit to help communicate really important info in our home which works well

Sometimes 😄 we'll both have other things on our minds. It happens, not a big deal.

Sometimes. Not intentionally, but it happens.

My FH has VERY selective hearing xD (aka he ignores me a lot) but he listens really well when it’s actually important. I tend to tune out when he starts giving me in depth details about something related to one of his hobbies that i really don’t care about.

Guilty. Totally not on purpose though. Usually it happens when I'm in the middle of doing something and hes talking to me haha. But other than that, I don't.

Sometimes. We have a bad habit of talking when the other is watching TV so it’s “uh huh yeah”

Sometimes. If I talk to FH while he's watching tv he will literally not hear me and I have to say his name multiple times hahah. I will tune him out sometimes when I've had a bad day and don't have the energy to listen. I'll apologize and look up from what I'm doing to listen to him.

Sometimes, but it's more him than me. He zones out while online on his cellphone

Sometimes, when I'm distracted it's really easy to, I find everyone out when it comes to food lol. He tunes me out with video games.

When I’m cooking or he’s playing video games yes other than that not really

Sometimes.. it’s not my fault it’s usually when I’m stressed to the max, but he understands and just says it again

Sometimes... He has some attention problems so he often accidentally tunes out... Sometimes his attention problems cause him to babble and tell really really really long detailed stories so I accidentally tune out.

Oh yeah I do it when he annoys me lol but it never does work 😂 I know he does it and try’s to make like it’s not intentional but we laugh about it.

Sometimes, but never on purpose. And never during an important conversation.

So far, we've never tuned each other out. Sometimes one (or both) of us is too tired to completely register what was said, but it's never intentional.
