I always take off my ring when I get home and put it on when I go out. I'm worried about damaging my diamond with cleaning, showering, banging it around and I just don't feel comfortable sleeping with it on and snagging my sheets and pillows.

However, would it be ok to wear my wedding band all the time? It has diamond around the top of the band but it doesn't snag, what do you guys do, because there are times I run out to walmart or I'm late for work and I forget my ring and my hand feels naked all day.

I never take mine off unless I'm mixing meat (like for meat loaf), or occasionally when I apply lotion. Other than that it stays on my finger 24/7.

My hand feels naked whenever I forget my ring at home too, also usually while running out of the house to do errends. Lol. I wear my ring to sleep but I take it off most of the time when I wash my hands, when I work (I'm a licensed massage therapist) and when I shower. I ALWAYS have a mini heart attack when I realize I don't have it on.

I've found that it's best to put the ring in my pocket (instead of the sink counter) when I wash my hands.

It will be interesting to read if other people have tips. Great question.

I wear my engagement ring all the time. The only exceptions are when I'm cleaning with harsh chemicals and when I'm preparing raw meat.

I never ever take mine off! I hate taking it off for the few seconds it takes for the jeweler to clean and inspect it! I am already dreading taking it off for my wedding day to put it together with my band (its an enhancer so the engagement goes inside it).

I only take mine off to shower and clean. Rings and diamonds are made to be durable so I don't worry about mine. I still care for it but our warrany cover it.

I take mine off rather often. I don't like diamonds so my engagement ring is emeralds and amethysts (our birthstones) - these are both very delicate and I'd rather know they're safe than fracture my center stone! Also, my fingers often swell up (medical thing) so I have to take it off or it can get stuck.

I take mine off when cleaning, showering, sleeping, and working out (swimming, running, lifting, etc.). I bought a QALO ring that I wear when I'm working out.

I take my off when I am sleeping, showering, cleaning around the house, swimming and working out. I wear a family heirloom and the diamond is not very deep set. It catches on everything. Once I get married, I will mostly just wear my wedding band- except for special occasions. My FH and I will also be buying rubber wedding bands from Amazon that we will wear when we workout and when he works.. He is in the Coast Guard and works around water and heavy machinery all the time. He does not want to lose it since it is quite expensive.

I wear my engagement ring at all times except when showering, washing dishes and messy cooking. I specifically didn't want on that was a tall set diamond because of worry it would snag or scratch. It all depends on personal preference really.

I only take mine off when I shower or go in the ocean or pool, Also when I put lotion on my hands, there have been a few times that I have forgotten to put it back on and if I then leave and can't do anything about it I feel naked!

I never take it off. The only time I take it off is when I'm putting lotion on. I absolutely love my ring and feel naked without it!

I take mine off for the gym, showering and sleeping. Often on weekends during the day I keep it off unless we are going out in the evening. I just don't find a need to wear all the time especially the gym

I could probably count on one hand how many times ive taken this thing off. It doesn't leave my finger. Luckily ive got complete coverage on it ( :') I'm marrying a smart, smart man) so I don't have to worry-- some how it still looks amazing so its not needed yet!

I only take mine off when I go to any large body of water (usually the lake) and doing something really messy (like painting). Other than that I keep it on no matter what.

I wear it as much as I can, but I don't wear it in the shower (I'm paranoid of loosing diamonds in my long hair or it getting snarled up and I have to cut my hair to get it out...ooohhh, the having to cut my hair nightmares!)

I also don't wear it when I sleep, I put it back in its ring box and into my night stand drawer...my hands change constantly to temperature, water levels, and if I'm sitting/standing/walking/laying down...so if I wore it to bed it would be awful. The snagging and scratching and tangling wouldn't be good either.

And of course, when I'm going to get my hands really dirty (some hardcore gardening (we have a half acre garden)) or use chemicals that could harm it, then obviously I take it off.

I wear mine all the time!! Except for showering or washing dishes. Or with cleaning products.

I'm a vet technician so my ring is involved in a bunch of different scenarios. FH made sure he got a ring that wouldn't snag and wasn't raised so high due to my line of work. Plus if it's insured..

Pretty sure he'd kill me if I didn't wear it all the time. Loll..

I don't wear my rings to work. I work in a bad neighborhood. I don't wear them when I sleep or shower. I don't wear them when I cook, clean, or do dishes.

I never take mine off- Id lose it if I did! If the prongs are good, there's less of a chance of snagging on stuff- have you had your jeweler check it lately?
