Documenting your guests

Are you doing a photo booth guest book or taking a group photo of everyone on the dance floor?

During our ceremony, our officiant took a selfie at the altar with us and all of our guests in the background. To this day, it is still one of my favorite photos. At the reception, we had a photo guest book with instant cameras, and also a photo booth that our DJ set up for our guests to use.

The biggest regret I hear from friends is that they were so caught up in wanting the popular photojournalistic style wedding photos photos that they have few clear photos of guests, if any. Besides large group action photos we still made sure to ask for old fashioned table photos. They are probably what we look back on the most and they become even more precious every year.

We did both! We have a group photo of everyone immediately after the ceremony, and we also had a photo guestbook. And tbh, I think we've looked at the guestbook photos at least twice as many times as we've looked at our actual wedding photos LOL
