Does anyone have jealous coworkers

Chrissy, on April 17, 2013 at 1:15 PM Posted in Married Life 0 13

Since you have been married has anyone like coworkers or others keep asking you how marriage is? I seem to be getting questioned about how things are

From my current co-workers, no. Former co-workers, yes... Mine is not since marriage, but the whole planning process, details, how we are "handling the stress," and all kinds of other crazy stuff. I'm like... Huh?

Sometimes I feel like the only person who doesn't think life is one giant competition.

I'm not married yet but I do. I work for a huge company but our office only has 10 ppl. And only 2 females. The other female and I barely get along. But ever since I got engaged she has been acting really cold to me. But that is fine with me. I try to kill her with kindness. Lol, but sometimes I just want to yell at her.

I don't have jealous co-workers because I work at home. But I have noticed some jealous friends and even some family about the weddings. Seems it either dredges up bad wedding/marriage experiences for some or they want to re-live their wedding through you. Which is fine with me but don't push your ideas on me. I love when people offer ideas and help but hate when it is crammed down your throat.

@Chrissy: I was talking about your coworker referring to your husband as a "following"business man" Smiley smile

Chrissy: Just as a curious thought - you recently posted about your troubles sexually wise, not much lovemaking, and your concerns with that. Maybe your coworkers can sense something's bothering you. I dont think they're trying to be all up in your business, but considering they work with you day in day out, perhaps they can tell something's changed & they're worried.

@Masquerade bride...they know nothing about my sex life lol..they never ask about that...its my one coworker that referred to my husband as a business man..lol..he's just not into drama like her and her bf are..that's what i got from it. i just work with one girl in the morning and 2 others my night shifts...both girls have more than enough drama un their lives to even care about my sex life...

I don't have co-workers because I work on small projects as a consultant when I want to. But I do have some jealous friends because I don't have to work full time and we are able to afford a good life. We try to be careful about money and save so we can put it away for the things that we really want, like retirement, remodeling our kitchen or paying for our own wedding. I constantly get comments like "why don't you get the Louboutains, you can afford it" I rather see the money invested into the benefit of my future, not just podiatrist bills.

They are probably just looking for something to talk about. This is the problem with working relationships-- most of the time you have nothing in common with the people, but you spend so much time with them you have to talk about *something*!

And by "business man" they probably meant DH was reliable and no-nonsense. This is probably a compliment Smiley smile

I wouldn't take any of it personally.
