Does anyone know how to glue rosettes on top of each other for backdrop?

Shannon and Michael, on January 29, 2015 at 11:45 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 8

I am doing a cardstock paper rosette backdrop. I see them all on pinterest. The only thing I don't know how to do and can't seem to find an answer online is how to glue them to each other? With different sized the accordion indents don't line up.

Please see sample picture below for what I am trying to accomplish, txs

Are you attaching them to a fabric backdrop? Or are you wanting to connect the rosettes to each other (with nothing behind them)?

I suspect that they are connected using the center section. You might be able to actually stitch the centers to a backdrop. Or, maybe, use a brad of some kind.

Actually, I found a tutorial on a baby shower blog. They recommend hot glue. There is a bit more to it that just "use hot glue" so here is the link:

And here's another tutorial... but they use nails to attach them to a wall.

Using brads to attach then to cardboard should be a reasonable equivalent.

Thanks all, I happened across those links today - how funny. Yes I was wondering how you glue them to overlap them. I would probably mount them on foam board. I think the idea of using a cardstock loop on the back to glue between the foam board and rosette might work. The loop could be forgiving in the distance off the board for those that are overlapping in the front.

Yes definitely glue gun - thanks all!
