does anyone know of an appetite suppressant that really works?

mrsrobinvalentine, on November 11, 2013 at 3:18 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 17

Lately, I've been stressing about our cars needing repairs, the unfinished upgrades in the bathrooms, how to cut our wedding guest list. I just can't stop eating and I can't stop thinking about eating. I've tried so many different appetite suppressant & the only one that worked decided to change & upgrade. The new and approve one; doesn't work for me! Can someone refer an over the counter brand?

    Coffee?

Not over the counter, but my friends have had success with adipex but most gained it back when they went back to eating crap.

EXCERCISE! And a good therapist. Sorry, not the solution you were looking for, but I don't know of any pills or anything like that.

Instead of eating pizza and subway for lunch at work I've started doing meal prep on sundays. I prepare my lunches for the week and then just grab snacks for the day that morning. I feel better and definitely am less hungry during the day.

Thats just an alternate suggestion- I've always been underweight so I've never taken any supplements.

Although I am gaining weight now and hate it.

Lots and lots of water. I just now heard another medical warning about an appetite suppressant that is so bad for your liver.

I saw this somewhere, and I thought it was brilliant; if you're ready to tear into a bag of chips or cookies, paint your nails. They'll be wet for 20 minutes and by then the craving will pass.

I haven't found an OTC brand that works but prescription phentermine works. You'll gain the weight back after you stop taking it, so I don't recommend it but for short term use the appetite disappears completely.

Years ago all the women in my family were on it; sisters, cousins, aunts, etc. There was a family funeral and one of my male cousins walked in and said in a curious voice, "Everyone looks so....THIN!" We were also very bitchy and energetic.

Weight Watchers, workouts, and lots of water will work better.

Yeah I mean I'm not recommending it but if you just want an answer I also agree that phentermine works great for that purpose.

Water, definitely. And one thing that does work for me, is to trick my psyche. If i see a slice of chocolate cake i really want, i imagine that its a glob of mud sitting on that plate. It turns my stomach and kills my appetite. May not work for others, but it sure works for me.

The best appetite suppressant is, truthfully, to eat better foods that are made to help keep you full. Foods that are heavy on protein and HEALTHY fats/oils like eggs, nuts, avocados, etc. are great for preventing unhealthy snacking.

I eat healthy, exercise, and drink water. I still get spikes in my appetite and feel hungry quite a bit. I wish I could find a (natural) appetite suppressant to help.

Starving yourself only makes your body tell itself to store all the food it can get when you eat next, as a survival mechanism, because your body is afraid it will be starved again so it stores everything as fat asap!. If you want to lose weight, eat only apple sauce all day every day, or smoothies, or do a juice fast. Bread, dairy, and meat are your enemies!! Try only fruits and vegetables. If you can straight starve yourself, by the third day you stop feeling hungry at all, except for brief moments in the morning, which can be numbed by drinking water. Any pill diet cure will mess with your organs hardcore
