Does shapewear suck as much as it seems?

I've never worn spanks, or bodywear, or a girdle or anything. This isn't because I'm skinny, but because I'm a slave to comfort. Not even gonna wear heels at my wedding. I know it smoothes out the flab and THAT part really appeals to me, but not if I'm super uncomfortable the whole time.

I wear bike shorts under my dresses and skirts all of the time, not for shaping, but for the sake of my thighs not rubbing/sticking together. However, they can be dreadful when it's hot really hot outside, but I find I have the same problem with regular shorts, so it isn't much of a trade off.

I love my Spanx! I just got a new pair that goes from mid thigh to under the bust. It is comfy and most the time I forget I have them on. I tried some with boning in them and that was the most uncomfortable thing I've ever worn! The best is to try them on in the store, if they feel good there buy them, but save the receipt, take them home and wear them for a day. If after the day you don't like them return them. That's what I always do with mine.

I would say it depends on what you buy. Some can hurt after a while others don't. I have had some I don't mind but will say I am ready to take them off when I am done that's for sure.

It was unfortunately I didn't get wear any shapewear on my wedding. At that time shapewear seemed not so popular like today. However I did find some items really comfortable to wear not too hot. Check the link below:

I remember when I shopped at Nordstrom it costed me over 60 bucks.... They are the same. To be honest this one lasted even longer after many washes even though it doesn't have a big name like Spanx.

I forgot they have a slip dress can be worn under dress coming with white. It is not super strong but doesn smooth my body lines.

Some can be uncomfortable, but, the one brand I've stuck with is Sculptz. You can find it at www.silkies.com. The hold is very good but I don't ever feel terribly uncomrtable. Prices are great too! Check it out.
