Does the bride do anything for the the bachelorette trip?

kelsey, on March 9, 2019 at 10:17 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 8
Hey everyone!
My bachelorette trip is next weekend, I am so excited even though I have no clue what is in store. I just realized though, is the bride responsible for bringing gifts or anything? Did anyone do anything for their girls for the bachelorette or not?

Maybe a small gift for the host.

Hey there! I just hosted my twin’s bachelorette party this past weekend! I just told her exactly what she needed to pack, but did not expect anything from her. It is YOUR weekend and nothing should be expected of you! If you’re the kind of person that is a gift-giver (of which I am guilty) I would maybe write a nice thank you card to the MOH (or whoever organized the bachelorette party) writhin a few days after!

Everyone is different. I'm making bachlorette party bags for my bridal party that will include things for them to use during our weekend. We are having a winery/cabin weekend next spring so I will be including cute t-shirts, monogrammed blankets, monogrammed coffee mugs and some more surprises. They will be able to use all of these things on wedding weekend also including the bag all these items are coming in. I'm also a HUGE fan of DIY and can do all these things on a dime, just do you!

My bachelorette is next weekend too!! Yay ☺️ I just made a “survival kit” that included Advil, deodorant, a few st. Patrick’s day pins since it’s that weekend, and things I found at the dollar store. Nothing too expensive but something that lets them know I’m thankful!

Everyone has their own preference, but if you’re going the traditional route, the MOH, in addition to planning the bachelorette, she will also provide small gifts to all the girls and you. The gifts are usually items relevant to the weekend like: matching shirts/aparrel, cheap sunglasses, pamper spa items like face mask, etc.

The only time the bride typically provides gifts to her bridal party are for: Bridesmaid proposal box and the day of the wedding

The bride doesn't have to do anything. For me, that would feel SO weird to go on a trip and not pay for anything. So I'm making favor bags for each girl, and paying for an entire dinner.

I did little "hangover" bags and wrote them a personal note.

I agree with Kristin. I don't understand the whole gift giving for every single event that happens leading up to your wedding. The bachelorette is meant for the bride same with a bridal shower. A nice thank you card is a good idea. I, myself, have never received a gift in return for gifting the bride her bachelorette trip or for a bridal shower!
