Often there is a side entrance at the front of the church. The officiant, groom and groomsmen come in from that entrance and wait for the processional.

H walked down the aisle, but not to music. He walked down with the officiant, best man, and two of the GMs. The other two GMs escorted his aunt and my mom down the aisle to start the processional. Most weddings I’ve attended the groom is already at the altar/front when the music starts. He either enters from the side (church) or he walks in with the officiant (outside/secular venue).

I've only ever seen the groom and his party waiting at the font. They can enter from the side, be waiting already as everyone is seated or walk up the aisle before the processional starts. If he wants to be part of the processional and walk to music then he definitely can but he doesn't need to

We’re doing a “seating of the parents” where FH will walk the women of our family down. If you did that then your FH would just stay down after the last person walked. My FH will walk down with our party though, just after all our party and before the RB and FGs

Then he will most likely get to the altar from a side door/aisle.

Usually the groom doesn't get his own song. I've seen weddings where they walk with the officiant, or walk their mother down the aisle.

The groomsmen also usually walk with the BMs. If not, they usually just follow the groom in. (That's what mine are doing)

Our processional is a 5 minute song. The start of the song will be the signal for the pastor to get ready, then the guys are walking down one by one. The bridesmaids will walk down right after, and then me.

My husband and his groomsmen walked down the aisle, to music. His parents walked him down the aisle, then followed our bridesmaids and groomsmen in pairs, then my father escorted me down the aisle, to a different song from everyone else. I think it’s totally a personal preference.

My honey strutting down the aisle.Does the groom walk down the aisle? 1

My husband walked down the aisle (with the MOH, Best Man, Ring Bearers and Flower Girl) to ABBA's "Take a Chance on Me." Actually, he kind a strutted down the aisle and I loved every minute of it!

    It's totally a personal preference.

My hubby walked down the aisle as did his BM and GM. They walked down to the same music as the bridesmaids and ring bearer.

My H walked down as well, with his parents. I thought it was a really nice moment and an important way to highlight them.

My husband walked down the aisle to his own song. It was important to us that the groom be celebrated just as much as the bride during the ceremony.

We are getting married in a public park not a church
We still need to figure out the logistics of what side he will enter from
I like the idea of him walking his mom down the aisle that would make cute pictures
Also we have a ring carrier he would be walking during that song-i figured

My FW and her groomsmen will be already waiting at the alter when the guests sit down, our ceremony is outside so there isn’t a specific area they’ll come from

H walked with his GM down the aisle. After the officiant and our parents, they walked in single file, with H in the lead. My bridespeople walked single file next, then me and my dad.

You can do it either way! Usually the groom enters from the side with the officiant/minister. We did that for my first wedding, lol.
