For example, I went to a wedding in the middle of July at a state park. The ceremony and reception were held in an indoor/outdoor park shelter house. The shelter was a typical shelter house with dark wood, big fireplace, etc. It had a very rustic feel. The colors however did not look so great. They chose black, red, and white with mostly formal decorating. It was really strange to see a more formal color palette and style in a shelter house while they fed bbq off paper plates. It just didn't mesh well. However that color combo would have looked beautiful in a ballroom.

Nope! Wedding colors are whatever you want. My bff got married in September and she had what I consisdered to be "spring" colors for a fall wedding. But it's whatever makes you happy!!

I think it would only be weird if you did like xmas colors in summer for an outdoor wedding....

No not at all. I hear this all the time with our colors, cause they "belong" in spring. But we don't care and the florist isn't charging us extra to get the flower colors in that we want. Do what you want to do.

This has me laughing because it makes me think of when my maid of honor was very insistent that my colors were winter, not spring colors.

She was very offended by it actually haha.

Needless to say I'm having my damn winter colors and I said screw it to the seasons cause who cares . Have the colors you love!
