If i had not of bought this dress and shoes and veil and everything 4 days before COVID happened....I would have went to the courthouse.

But deep in my heart....I know my baby and she deserves this wedding!!

I actually wish I would have thought about my style and venue before dress shopping and even sending out save the dates with the engagement photos on it!

I thought I was going to have it at one venue and then decided on another and now my theme is elegant/glam. The other venue was outside, so it would have had a more rustic vibe.

I like the dress I got, but I want to make alterations to it or get a reception dress to match the theme.

Oh my gosh, I am so glad to see this dress in this color on a real bride, now I am even more in love with it!! This is my dream dress, whether or not it matches my venue lol. Wyoming wedding- outdoor ceremony next to Wind River mountains- outdoor reception (we think!) with lots of outdoor lights above us, ours will be rustic minus the burlap- I think it is overused I also think that it is not that far off from "barn" theme as it doesn't have a ton of sparkle and it has updated lace with sleeves which is what I kind of picture when I think barn/industrial/romantic. Guests are going to see you walk through the doors and go "wow that is beautiful, I am so glad I get to be here to watch her get married!!" and not "based on her venue I would've assumed she would have picked dress x, y, z"

I am not sure what would suit our venue, to be honest, so I guess I don't know?

It's a restaurant and winery and the vibe is .. farmhouse maybe?

I'd say my dress is probably more formal than the venue, but who cares, when it's your wedding?

I always think it looks more cohesive if your dress goes with the venue, and I think yours goes together well. I wouldn't have any thoughts of them not "going" if I was a guest.
