Does Your Wedding Date Have A Special Meaning Behind It?

We still don't have our official wedding date as we are still trying to find a venue we like with availability in the season we want. However in my head, I want June 2nd, 2012. For no particular reason other than I wanted a late spring or early summer wedding and then I was like "Hmmm, June 2nd, 2012... 6/2/2012... 6x2=12 Yea that's a good date for a wedding" *math geek*

Mine happens to be our current anniversary of us being a couple.

Our date is very special... our very first date as a couple was on August 4, 2006, he proposed on our 5 year anniversary August 4, 2011 and we are getting married August 4, 2012! =)

the date is 08-04-12..the last three numbers are 8-4-2..thats our home address, and those three numbers are in both of our ssn.

i kno all of these reasons sound cheesy, but to us they all show that its a sign that date is perfect!

We decided that we would get married in July after I was accepted to school for this year (I always wanted a May wedding, but I wasn't going to wait another year, or get married in the middle of my school year). I thought the 7th was fine but FH picked the 14th, because it is the day before our 6th anniversary (I hadn't even thought of that!) So who says guys don't remember anniversaries? (Although I think the main reason he remembers is because it was also the day he got his first car...)

Ours isn't special except for the fact that im mexican and Cinco De mayo is a hugh party day so we picked 05/05/2012

We did. My date was one of the most important things. I have always wanted to marry in April, cause that's the month my parents got married. I think they have the greatest marriage ever, and I wanted to honor that.

I did not want to take away from their special day though so I wasn't gonna have it on their day or too close to it.

FH and I noticed on the calender when we were picking our date that the 14th fell on a saturday. 14 is a lucky # we've always had and we consider our current dating anniversary to be January 14th, 2009. So to us it seemed like a perfect day!

We met in November of 2008, November 1st to be exact, and we were "Just friends", but we had our first kiss one night on Janurary 14th. Things started progressing but really slowly. One day a few months later, we talked and decided we needed an 'anniversary' date. There was no day where we said, "Okay, we are couple now". So we decided to make it the 14th.

Our date wasn't really anything special either. We had to basically work around the church. It was the only Sunday we cold get. (We had our wedding as a surprise "sermon" on a Sunday morning. No one knew there was going to be a wedding that day except for family.)

I like it though... 4th of July is my favorite holiday, so I like that it's kinda close. I can get into my festive firework mood, and just as that winds down BAMB! Anniversary!

Haha our date was chosen because both my sisters are out of state at college and I wanted to make sure it was a weekend that they didnt have any exams or anything. The furthest one away (8hrs away) had spring break during this time, so we thought it was the perfect week.

And its the day after DH's birthday and the day before his dad's birthday so now its a celebratory weekend! =]

We wanted to get married either late summer or early fall next year. Started hunting around for a venue. There wasn't a lot available, but one of our favorites was open on Aug. 11th. So, checked around at different churches to see what was available also and our favorite church was also free, so it just came together. Plus, FH is thinking about going back to school next fall, so the date worked well in that way.

Our wedding date is exactly 5 years from our first date!

Mine was my birthday.

We were going to do May 2, 2014 since we got together on May 2, 2008, but we wanted to have a Saturday wedding so we decided on May 24, 2014 because my birthday is January 24th and his is March 24th (born the same year too)

FH and I originally picked 8/19/12, because it is our birthdays added together 3/14+5/5 (shout out to all of the Cinco de Mayo brides!) but since blackout dates for time off for FH's job starts the day after, we opted against it, since he'd never be able to take a vacation during our anniversary. (Granted it's unlikely he'll be there forever, but that's ok). We changed to June 30 because we liked the idea of being near the 4th of July holiday.

Nothing too special. We basically elminated the months we didn't want to get married in & finally settled on September. But my sister's birthday is 09/06 & I didn't want it to be [although she did, but she's only 14 haha] the same weekend because I would never want to have to choose between celebrating my lovely sister's [also my MOH] birthday or my anniversary with FH. I also happen to be a numbers person, it's weird, I know. But 09,15,12 are all divisble by 3 & so that works too haha. So here we are with 09.15.12 :]

Ours is kinda special because its the weekend after Valentines day, and its 5 days before my birthday.

We wanted our wedding sometime between December 8th and January 6th because my fiance's sister, BIL, niece and nephew currently live in Korea and were already approved for a trip back home during those dates. We didn't want it to fall over christmas or new years...

December 10th is my parents anniversary which happened to fall on a Saturday so we chose that date! I asked my mom the other night if her and my dad had a first dance..she said they just had a wedding and then ate cake. I'm thinking about playing a song for my parents at the reception to honor them...but I don't think my mom would want the attention...we shall see.....

Our day was chosen randomly by my FH. We went to a venue we loved and said we would like to see open dates in May and June. Out of that list he said he for some reason he thought June 9 stuck out for him. So of course I figured if he picked it then he would never forget our anniversary then we noticed it is 6-9-12 and I love numbers! It was a keeper for sure.... Now we have yet to plan what we do at 3 on 6-9-12 hehe
