Dogs in engagement photos

My fiancé and I didn’t but I think it’s the cutest when dogs are apart of pictures

We had our dog in our photos and I love them!

We had our dog in ours! Best decision ever! We did it at our ranch, so we just put him back in the yard with the pictures of just us. You could also put him/her in your car for part of the shoot? Here’s some examples! He’s still a puppy and not the best poser so this is all we got! Lol

I so wish I could but my dogs have way to much energy and will bolt as soon as he can.

Thank you! I'm obsessed with him. We wanted to have him there for wedding photos, but we got married on what was probably the rainiest day of the year, so it would have been a train wreck. Still makes me sad though!

We had our pup in a few photos!

We brought our dog and I’m so happy we did. We got her a few months prior so it partially turned into a new puppy shoot but we LOVE all the pictures (these are a couple of my favorites). I would ask your photographer what they recommend. We were considering asking a friend to come with us, but our photographer’s boyfriend was available and tagged along to hold onto her leash while she wasn’t in pictures.

We took our engagement photos on my Future in laws farm. Of course the neighbor had their horse out and that was what they were staring at. Our photographer was pretty chill and told us to just let the dogs run around and she would get photos of them here and there. They were a pain in the butt, but we still got some cute photos with them.

I should also mention we previously had photos done at Christmas with our dogs. The photographer’s assistant (husband) held the dogs for us when we did couples photos and was really great.

Our dog is like our child so I absolutely wanted her in the pictures! She loves to take pictures and is very well behaved (although meeting new people is so exciting for her so she was very wiggly meeting the photographer!). We went to a park near our house for photos with her and then dropped her off afterwards before moving on to a place the photographer loves to shoot at (conservatory so no dogs)


Our photographer suggested we bring along someone to hold her and then take her home after but we purposely picked a park near our house for the location with her so to drop her off afterwards. For the couple we took without her at this location she was fine leashes to a tree nearby.

We had his leash handy and attached it to him when he wasn’t participating; he normally stands still when the leash if dragging behind him 😂 We also just tied it to chair or the photographer stood on the end so he didn’t take off if there were other dogs or it was a busier area.

We included our fur babies and I'm so happy we did. My soon to be mama in law came with us so she could hold their leash while we finished our session.

We brought her tether and hooked her up to the tree that was just a couple feet away.

I'm just here to stare at all your good doggos.
