Doing my own makeup

I live in AZ and have combo skin also. I loved the luminous silk foundation. I like NYX angel veil and smashbox primer. I like Milani or Urban Decay setting spray.

TWO WORDS: SETTING SPRAY. Urban decay all nighter spray is heaven sent! You may sweat but the makeup stays in place! After a full day at Epcot in Florida I got to the hotel and my face still looked beat! You will defiantly need a primer to help lock in your makeup. I use smash box the original photo finish smooth & blur primer. I have combo skin and the smashbox primer works great for my face. Go to ulta and get primer samples to try out before you buy. IF you are doing an eye shadow look I like urban decay eyeshadow primer is the only thing I ever use for my eye lids. Tinted eyebrow gel to lock in your eyebrows if you use an eyebrow pencil, my favorite is benefit gimme brow.

I love coverx primers they work w everything!!!! Pricy but worth it to me!!!
Also, I know that's not what u r asking but what's the reason for doing own make up? Can be many I know!!! Best friend did it because a) costs b) and more importantly any time she had professional make up done she felt like she looked like a transvestite. Well she did her own and it looked fabulous BUT in preparation and practicing she ended up spending soooo much on make up she could have totally had a few trials and found a professional she can trust. She did end up w all this make up in the end I guess haha

I’m mainly doing my own makeup not so much to save money because I’m definitely spending more buying the makeup lol but more so that I have control over how it comes out. I’ve had professional makeup done and I never really like how it came out either it looked too cakey or they just didn’t listen to what I wanted. Plus I feel like I’ve done my own makeup enough to know what works best for my skin type and face shape. I’m gonna do some trial runs using as much samples as I can tho lol
