Anyway, I ordered a ceremony box from a shop on Etsy. The box looked terrible (engraving wise.) so I asked the shop owner for a replacement and asked her to make everything straight and center. After she questioned my reviews going from 'it's fine' to 'i kinda don't like it.' to 'it's awful,' she agreed to redo the box.

I got the new one today. TOP box is the first one, BOTTOM box is the new one. It's straight, but still NOT centered. I'm ever so slightly going into bridezilla mode the closer it gets to my wedding and this BOTHERS me that's it's not centered. Now, should I just ask for a refund or take a loss and find something somewhere else? This tiny box cost me $30 and I hate it.

Do the official product photos show the engraving all in a certain spot? I'd say that if you're not satisfied with the product after two attempts it'd probably be better to take the loss and look elsewhere. Best of luck to you!

Yep, all the listing photos are nice and center. Even reviews of the product with photos have centered engravings.

I went ahead and went with a different shop, hopefully 3rd time's a charm.

Personally, I think it looks perfectly fine especially for the cost. It will be such a tiny detail at the end of the day. $30 for a ring box may seem expensive but for something custom and engraved is the very low end of cost spectrum so you’re getting what you pay for but I do think it looks good.

The replacement box looks totally fine to me. I don’t see where it’s off-centered now. Of course, you’re overly scrutinizing it. But whoever it’s gifted to won’t notice.

The replacement is not absolutely perfect…but isn’t that what makes it unique and special….? You have to be happy, but if it were me, I would love it. For $30, it looks beautiful.

I honestly don't see anything wrong. I think it's beautiful!
