Don’t want to be bo Bride!!!

on September 2, 2019 at 10:59 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 6
We chose a wedding date in the winter in part because I sweat like no other!!! I definitely sweat much much less in the winter, but I’m nervous I’ll start to smell still! My dress is sleeveless, but there’s still fabric in the armpit area!

Have any of you ladies found a deodorant that works well that won’t show on your dress? Or a regimen that helps lessen sweat/smell? I’ve tried secret prescription grade and while it does keep me dryer, the smell is still there!

I use Certain Dri, from CVS. It is very effective (so much so, that you really can't use it more often than once every two days). You put it on at night, then wash it off in your shower the next morning. Since it's shut down your pores, you still have protection against sweat/smell after you wash it off. However, since it's been washed off, it can't get on your dress.

So my best friend although very small sweats and has really bad issues with deodorant but leading up to her big day she tried Native its an all natural one and it held her through the night. She sweat from the dancing and tequila but no smelly pits which she was dreading.

I agree that trying a more intense deodorant woudl be an option. If you think it's more of a medical problem, talk to your doctor. I have a friend who ended up getting botox injections in the armpits to curb sweat production.

Hey there! You are certainly not the only person to feel like this!

Could you ask one of your BMs to have a little toiletry bag on hand for you with deodorant and wet wipes on your day so that you can top up when you need?

That is a great idea!! I didn't think of that. I keep a little toiletry bag now and would probably forget it on that day because I don't want to have so much stuff. I will definitely put that on my list of things to do/have.

I know you don't want to have to keep track of lots of different things on your wedding day, but I'm sure someone close to you won't mind hanging on to a small toiletry back for you for the day!
