Donuts as favors?

I originally wanted a candy bar, with all our favorite candies, but now I'm thinking donuts. FH and I always stop and get donuts when we go on a road trip or have to get up early to be somewhere on the weekend. Has anyone done donuts as favors? FH and I always stop and get donuts when we go on a road trip or have to get up early to be somewhere on the weekend. Has anyone done donuts as favors? Did you display the donuts and have each guest choose one? Or did you have them all packaged up and ready to go? I was thinking of putting them with our cake table and having them on a three tier stand and then putting little baggies for people to put them in. What do you think?

Our cake was 2 flavors and our doughnuts were two flavors. I think if you give your guests less options to pick from, it will be easier to pick from. Our cake was amazing and we didn't even get any because it was all gone by the time I took a break from dancing. The only reason DH and I had doughnuts was because MIL put some on the side for us.

There's a vendor in my area(Illinois) that makes donuts at the venue for a fresh hot donut favor. Seemed pretty interesting to me.

My cousin had a donut bar! It was amazing lol they had little cute boxes you could take a few home in. They did just a small cake for them to cut.

We're doing a donut wall! Before we had decided on it, we ran it by a few friends and they LOVED it. We're getting little personalized wax bags from Etsy so people can take them home as favors too.

I think they're an awesome favor. I would probably have them prepackaged so they would be less likely to get stale. It would also be a little bit of a deterrent against anyone skipping the cake in favor of donuts.

I actually want to do a donut wall if possible. If not, on the dessert table next to the cake.
