Wanting a donut so hard right now!

Have you mentioned what you're doing to your caterer? They may be able to take care of this for you. Or you may be able to drop them off with your caterer the day before and they will set them up. During our meeting we discussed table set up and she asked me if I would be having favors at each seating. I told her I wanted to do bread and jam if I could find someone to do both and they offered to make them for me.

We did donuts and they were a huge hit! 8 months later I still have relatives who mention how cool it was. We did cupcakes as well because my mom thought people wouldn't want donuts. By the end of the night the donuts were all gone but we took home a ton of cupcakes. We just used a regular cupcake stand and the baker delivered and set up!

P.S. Chris, I love your wedding date....I was born at 11:11 and sometimes people tell me how that has great cosmic significance and whatnot. Idk if it does or not, but it's still a cool time. and a cool date.

We are doing donuts! We plan on doing various platters/cake stands. I also just bought this do display over the table.

A shop in Philadelphia does donut cakes, including for weddings. Federal Donuts. The donuts are amazing and they have some unique, interesting flavors. Their Facebook page has some sample pictures of how the cakes look!

We're doing donuts as well. I don't have pics but I plan to do lots of cake stands. I'm a bit of a cake stand hoarder so I have quite a few. They're all different colors and heights. You can find them at the discount stores like tj maxx, ross, etc. I have found a bunch at thrift stores. I have also made them from candle stick holders and stove covers (all dollar store items) that I spray painted and glued together. I say just display them in a cute way and you're good go.

I love this so much. I'm still trying to convince FH to do this, since I hate cake. He likes cake so we are at a standstill at the moment.

And now I am hungry for donuts.

Ah, Kelsey that's cool about your birth time! I was actually worried vendors would be booked since it's kind of a fun date, and we chose it because it's Veterans Day, so the numbers didn't matter at all. I just remember a friend got married on 10/10 last year and ran into some issues getting some of her vendors lined up.

And yeah I am for sure getting a donut tomorrow morning!!!

I love the donut idea. I'm a huge fan of both cake and donuts so I'd be happy to have either at a wedding, but I am definitely craving donuts now after looking at all these posts!
