Double chin

Katelyn, on February 13, 2017 at 4:18 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 17

Anyone got any good advice for the dreadful double chin? I have been doing the workouts you can find online. But I am absolutely terrified that on my wedding day I will still have it. If that's the case I may just cancel my photographer since I will not want to see any documentation of me looking the way I do now.

Good photographers know the right angles and lighting to use to minimize the double chin. Canceling the photographer sounds pretty aggressive

Posture and placement of your body is EVERYTHING. Shoulders back, chin slightly up & out will do WONDERS in your photos.

Iam a nurse in a plastic surgeons office and there is a product out there called Kybella. If it's actual fat and not excess skin it works great!

Slow down! What's going on with you? No, no, no...you're overreacting. Don't cancel your photographer because of perceived imperfections. You will regret it in the decades that follow, and your children, who haven't even been born yet, will look at you sideways when they can't see their parent's wedding photos because you thought you have a double chin. My God, woman, what message will that send to your daughter? Think about it!

What about your parents? They raised you, invested countless thousands into you, and this day -- your wedding day -- is something they want a photographic record of. A double chin...that would cause to cancel a photographer? OMG...vanity rules identity?

Yes, photographers can photoshop away the human flaws, but you can start with a MUA if you're this dead set on fighting your double chin. We live in the age of photography/video on the spot, and whether you like it or not, wedding photos of you -- and your dreaded double chin -- will be in circulation. If this is such a massive issue to you, get yourself to an excellent MUA. With contouring and shading, you'd be shocked at how they can fix the flaws that are causing you to even consider what you're considering.

And listen, I know you are much more than the flesh below your jaw. You owe it yourself to stop the negative self speak. I'm sad for you...I really am.

You would forgo a photographer on the best day of your life because of a double chin? This is silly.

    ^^ I wouldn't say it's silly. She's self-conscious about how she looks. I wouldn't minimize her feelings about this.

I would, that's why I did. I'm self conscious of things too but I'm having a photographer at my wedding. It's the only thing that lasts after the fact.

You are so beautiful! I am just really struggling. I have been dedicated to losing weight since April 4th 2016. I have been tested for everything under the moon that could be wrong with my body, all come up negative. I am not on birth control eat 5-6 small meals a day, minimum of a gallon of water, exercise 5 days a week minimum. I don't eat anything processed, only eat low carb and focus on lean meats and veggies. I have tried Hydroxcut, Garcinia Cambogia, I have gone to my natural path and taken a metabolism booster. And for almost a year I have been exactly (never up or down) 231 exactly.

Good lighting, good angles, specific poses & for everything else there is photoshop. Do not cancel your photographer.

For your body image issues, consider gastric bypass, a personal trainer, and healthy eating.

Remember you are beautiful just the way you are. Hence, why your fiancé got on 1 knee and asked you to marry him out of 6 billion plus people in the world. Some ppl cant get a text back. You got a ring, a wedding, and lifetime partner. Good vibes !!!!

Try shots of apple cider vinegar, Pinterest face exercise, lift weights with cardio, make sure you're eating 1200 calories minimum- do not starve yourself, try to not be stressed also, it impacts you a lot.

Out of my 300 or so engagement pictures I got back, only a few had a double chin bad enough that I did not want to share them. Instead of sharing the album from the photographer that would give everyone access to all of the photos (even the ones I didnt like) I downloaded the best ones and only shared those. I would recommend doing something like that! That way you dont have to feel self conscious and you only have to share the pictures that you dont have one in! I was born 4lbs with a double chin, sometimes these things are just there!

My photographers were even able to get side profile pictures that I felt hid my double chin enough! Your pictures will turn out great just be happy and make sure you dress in an outfit that you are not self conscious in from any angle!

I agree with angles and lighting too! Let's not forget contour also, ask your makeup artist if she can highlight other features. Kybella is a great option also, hunny you only get married once if this is something that bothers you truely why not spend the 1,500$. Personal opinion!

If you're overweight, weight loss will help out a lot. If you just happen to carry weight in that area, then splurge for Kybella or something similar. I've heard it hurts horribly, but if you're this insecure about it, it's probably worth it.

Self-love is what I would prescribe. I'm very self-conscious about my everything. Even if you lose weight, you're still going to see those imperfections. What you need is the reassurance that your appearance now is good enough - and it is. I know it's hard but remember that you're beautiful just the way you are, regardless of perceived double chin or not.
