draping oak trees

jenifer, on August 23, 2015 at 3:06 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 5

I want to drape the oak trees at our venue but I cant find any local venders to help with this. I can buy fabric in bulk. Can someone suggest the type of fabric for this that would give me this look or similar?

It looks like a mid weight chiffon to me because you cant see right through it or maybe a polyester blend? It could even be a decorating fabric from shindigz.com like Shimmera.

First, I would see if your venue will allow it. To me it almost looks like a poly blend like the kind used in pipe and drape.

We do this style of draping. the fabric shown is professional fire proof organza, it is over 10feet wide and available in many lengths. I'd let the pros do this. it is more complex than you think to do and you must allow for wind and securing in place. Not something you can do without a crew and talllllll ladder.
