If money was no object, what would be your dream venue in Michigan? The venue i'm trying to get is actually my dream one, it's the community center my fiancee and I actually met at back in 1985. If I had a huge budget i'd be hiring everything out, drinks/bartending, catering (which I may still do)...

If money was no object, what would be your dream venue in Michigan?

The venue i'm trying to get is actually my dream one, it's the community center my fiancee and I actually met at back in 1985. If I had a huge budget i'd be hiring everything out, drinks/bartending, catering (which I may still do) as well as having people come in and do the decorating/set-up/cleaning at the end of the night.

Ugh, same! But I chose a tent option at Waldenwoods in Hartland. It was my second choice but still gorgeous!

I'm still looking for my dream wedding venue. We want to get married on a Beach in late afternoon/evening to have that beautiful view of the water (at least for the ceremony). For the Reception we still want it near the beach but to be indoors with the option to go outside. We are looking for a venue that is quite but also gives us the option to party late with our family. It's slowly coming together and I think we are close finding our place.

Have you checked out the Lake House in Ludington? It's a brand new venue and right on Lake Michigan.

I agree. My budget started at 5K, then dropped to 3k, and I just found out it's now just 1,,500. Luckily the venue was only 275.

I LOVE the Rust Belt Market! I wanted to book there, but I also wanted a Saturday wedding and FH didn't like how we couldn't start until after 7 on Sat since the market is open. Who are you having cater? I used to work at Holiday Market and can vouch that their food is SOOOO good

Westin
Dream would have been the arboretum area of the Westin in Southfield, but even if I had been able to afford it, they just recently stopped having that space be an option for weddings

There is one venue that has been on the back of my mind for the longest time since I've come across it but it's so expensive and I know it'll never happen. If money wasn't an issue, I would have it Willowbridge Private Estate in Idaho. It's gorgeous. Mixed with a bit of rustic and modern and it's connected to Boise River.

Our wedding and reception are going to be at the Pine Tree Barn located in Flushing Mi. It is a gorgeous venue. Though "barn" is in the name it has a much more cabin feel to the place.

Probably the gazebo on Mackinac Island. Love it on the island and having it in the gazebo where a scene from “Somewhere in Time” was filmed would’ve been romantic.

I'd love that. When I was a little girl I saw the movie "somewhere in time" that was filmed there, and ever since I wanted to get married at the Grand Hotel
