My budget was 800$ I ended up spending 1200 but then getting a partial refund due to a sale they had two days later. So ultimately I paid just about 900. I got Mine at David’s.

My budget was $1000. Original price was slightly over but it ended up being on sale. I paid $950 for it (including tax and the $11 they charge for a garment bag) at David’s Bridal.

I had up to 1,000, but I knew I would never spent that much. I just can't spend that on one garment. I set a limit of 500. I was lucky and found my dress for 299 at David's Bridal. Here is a picture

I wanted to spend under $1000, but was willing to go a little over if I found something perfect. I ended up loving a clearance dress at David’s bridal and paid $199. I spent almost as much on a belt ($129) which I’m going to wear as a headpiece!

I had a budget of $1500 but was willing to go up to $3000 if it was the one. I think it was around $2300, so I found the one at a local boutique.

I set a budget of $600 for my dress itself, and a budget of $200 for alterations/accessories. I ended up getting my dress for $550, my beaded belt and shoes for $40, and am not using a veil.

We wanted all in (alterations, veil) to be under 3k, ideally a lot less. I found my dress for $1100 at a sample boutique in the Chicago suburbs. I’m going to be making a number of changes so I hope alterations aren’t too insane, I’d like to end under $2000 with shoes and jewelry included as well.

I was thinking $200-300 as my budget maximum. I ended up with a dress less than $30 from forever 21 surprisingly.

Fellow Chicago suburb bride here! Which boutique did you shop at? My mom's coming into town next month for dress shopping and I'm looking for recommendations! 😁

Your dress is gorgeous by the way!

Thanks! We went to the Bridal Boutique of Naperville and it was a fantastic experience. The owner of the store also does all the alterations, everyone there was great, I’d definitely check it out.

It’s designer dresses that were the samples at high end stores so they only have sample sizes (which are 8’s, 10’s and 12’s) and then plus size sample sizes. You take the dress you pick with you that day! I’m a size 2 and had no problems envisioning what my size 8 dress will look like once alterations are done. Saved a ton, and had a fantastic dress experience. Good luck!
