Dress cleaning cost (no preservation)

Michelle, on September 11, 2021 at 10:39 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 2

Hi. I posted this in New York forum. But, just wondering overall if you need to use a drycleaner with a wedding gown specialist. Of my 2 gowns, my ceremony dress is wash only. It says "do not dry clean" on tag. It is a mikado fabric with no beading or lace and bought at $1600. There are regular dirt stains, no wine. I am planning to wear this again to galas, etc. as it's quite light and functional. Do I have to use special cleaning services?

Hi Michelle! I feel like you'd be totally fine taking this to a normal dry cleaners and having them do a really delicate service based on the tag on the dress!! There are lots of super delicate gowns that are non-bridal as well, so I'd feel confident they can do it.

But you'll be able to better read their confidence when you take it in person!! 😉
