Dress Obsession/Dream Dress!

I came across this yesterday and I couldn’t stop staring at it! It would probably be way out of what my budget was, but I wish I saw it before I got married. It probably wouldn’t have looked good on me but I would have loved to try it on.

I didn’t really know what I wanted when I was dress shopping. I thought maybe I wanted sleeves and some kind of illusion back//neckline. I thought I did not want strapless! But I tried on 2 with straps and illusion and hated them. I knew I didn’t want mermaid/trumpet cut. I tried one on for prom and couldn’t move. I also didn’t want crep material since it is so unforgiving. I wound up with this fit and flare.

I think I want a dress similar to these... it depends on what I look like in them after I lose like 30 more lbs. I wanna be dramatic so a cape is a must!

That dress is gorgeous! My dress is the second one I ever tried on. I tried on many more afterward but my mind always went back to the ONE. Here are some pictures. I originally was thinking that I’d end up in a mermaid type gown so this A-line surprised me. I instantly fell in love with the under layer of sparkles and that bodice *heart eyes*

Anything at all Galia Lahav. If money was no object I don't think I could even pick a favorite the dresses are so beyond gorgeous.

I am obsessed with the idea of this dress! I love the shimmery blush tulle and the flowy skirt will be perfect for dancing the night away!

I love the Zander dress, knew that it was my dress as soon as I saw it. I’ve tried on other dresses and like aspects but this dress has everything I want! Going to try it on and purchase this September! 😍

I love wedding dresses too, and these are all such beauties! I LOVE how different they all are.

I was always open to two very different styles of dresses. The first was an extremely classic, plain mikado silk dress with sleeves and a dramatic silhouette, like this:

The second, was a lot more whimsical, romantic and detailed. For example, I LOVE Steven Khalil dresses - just ridiculous, over-the-top, all out drama and romance, but I knew they'd be well out of my budget:

I knew I'd probably struggle to find something that I could fall in love with that was similar to the second, and predictably, I chose something more like the first! I am still debating adding sleeves to my dress - here it is!

I bought a Mori Lee dress!!! They are all so beautiful but I went opposite you and got the puffiest one I could find! And then a huuuge underskirt because I want to be like the live action Cinderella dress. I have always been obsessed with dressing up and I wanted to be very princessy!
