Dress on sale after I bought it - WHAT DO?

J, on August 9, 2010 at 10:55 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 14

I just bought a dress through David's Bridal online not even a week ago. NOW I see the dress is $50 off! Should I call and get a price match? What should I do? I'm keeping the dress cuz it's awesome but I think I should at least try to get the better price for it. What do you think?

    It can't hurt to try. I doubt they will let you but no shame in asking... especially for a big corporation... Its not like its a local seamstress who needs the money.

    It can't hurt to call and ask. The worse that can happen is they tell you they can't.

    I agree with Brian, go there in person and show them. I know Best Buy will honor if it's within 14 days I think.

    @Brian C.

    It was an online-only style, so I don't think that I can go get a price match in-store.

    Get your $50 back, call the agent. If you get a no, ask for the manager.

    Get a price adjustment, if you can. Usually it's within 14 days, best to go in right away-within 7 days is better of course. Go in and talk to the manager...if that doesn't work, call the district manager...write an email asap to the corporate office.

    It should be ok. Worth a try anyway...GL

    Im pretty sure Davids Bridal has a policy that says they dont do price matches... I was in the same situation only my dress got knocked down to $99! I was a little mad but I was told nothing could be done and that my dress was non refundable at time of purchase (it was being discontinued!)

    If you got the dress at DB & it's on sale online now, I doubt they are going to give you your $50 back. I have my dress/bustier/sash/garter/veil thru them on Lay-a-way & I wanted to return my sash/veil... and they were going to charge me to return it, so I doubt they'd give you money back on something purchased online. Unless of course you return the dress, and then reorder while on sale.
