While dress shopping this weekend with my 7 family/soon to be family members, I tried on a few dresses to humor them! While dress shopping this weekend with my 7 family/soon to be family members, I tried on a few dresses to humor them! I wanted a fitted, more plain, minimal lace/beading dress and this is the gown they handed me (attached). I came out and all the older women started tearing up. All I could think was “why did I do this?” Lol I did not purchase this gown. Perfect for someone but that someone is not me. I have a ton of my contenders saved on my phone but I’d love to see yalls! What’s the story behind it and why did you reject?

    Thank you!! It was a consignment/off the rack store so I think the previous owner must have been the same size as me. It fit like a glove but not at all my style! I ended up with what I originally had in mind, the furthest thing from poofy. Smiley laugh

    My bridal consultant, Olga, would not stop forcing me into dresses. Even after I found my dress and everyone was crying. She would say "Keep it OR say goodbye?!" She was from Ukraine so it sounded more dramatic when she said it.

    I chose this dress when my mother came up from Florida to go dress shopping with me. I felt pressured to get a dress that day. Ive since changed my mind and I have another appointment on Saturday to get a different dress. Dress regret is real!

    This was my second choice. I rejected it for my ultimate choice because I wanted to cover my tattoos. I thought this dress was gorgeous and fit me perfectly but sleeveless style was not for me.

    I wanted the very opposite of a ballgown but my mother had the idea in her head that I needed to look like a princessXD I told her I felt like a cake topper in that dress! I'm gonna pass. lol

    Both of my rejects. I almost bought the one with the sequin belt but I would have needed to put sleeves on it, and it was already $800 more than the one I bought (and love).

    Exactly how I felt in the one they made me put on. It was a bit more outdated than the one you tried though. That dress is really gorgeous but I totally understand. Can't make yourself like something that you just don't!

    I don't have any pictures of the ones I hated (except one). The first one I didn't love because of my size, I hated the feeling of the sleeves I'm the second, I almost bought the 3rd but I was over budget and I had plenty of time to keep looking, 4th was my cousins and she really wanted me to wear it but I really hated it on me, 5th I actually purchased and am now selling. I bought it online and just never loved it the way I wanted to. 6th was too small, and at an off the rack shop, but I loved it!
