What's everyone's dress budget? Originally I said $2000, but that just seems ridiculous to me. Even if I wear the dress again, I feel like anything more than $500 is way too much. I'm considering either 1. Wearing my ballgown that I wore in Vienna (bought for 90 euros), or 2. buying a dress on...

My budget is $1000. But think about its your day as long as you happy with your dress is all that matters. You new husband love whatever you choose to wear.

I didn't really have a budget (my parents bought my dress and I think they were willing to spend around to $4-5k?) The dress I ended up loving and getting was $1800

My budget (generously provided by my parents) was roughly 2,500 but I was ready to go up to 4,000 (myself paying the extra) if the dress was really REALLY perfect. I agree that sounds crazy for something you’ll wear only once 😂 but like others have said, there is a quality distinction at certain price points and that was important to me, not just in looks but also how it felt ON me as the wearer. I thought well, what other excuse will I ever have to wear such a beautiful, luxurious and dramatic dress (it’s a ball gown)? So I indulged a way more than I will ever again on a piece of clothing 😁

I stayed pretty close to my original price point in the end. Alterations remain to be seen but I wasn’t including that in my dress purchase price anyway.

I had the same mindset!! Until I went to my first bridal shop. You can ask bridal shops to purchase dresses off the rack and get some percent off. The thought of sprinting more than 1000 on a dress is absolutely nuts but I was more afraid of getting a cheap dress online and it’s comes in and looks terrible. I didn’t want to risk it. Especially right now when dresses aren’t coming in until 8months to a year!

I spent $2250 on my dress alone. I have not done alterations yet, but I'm anticipating around $500. Originally my budget was $1500 from my dad and $I allotted $1500 from our personal budget, so $3000 total. So As long as alterations are not over $750 I'm right on budget lol

I originally planned for under $1,000 but found something I loved on a clearance rack for $250. I went to a local boutique that focused on prom, gala, and MOB dresses.

I kept my budget at $2,500. It’s a lot of money, but it’s also one of the biggest days of your life. I tried to spend less, but just couldn’t find anything I liked less that that.

I could not picture spending more than 1k, and ended up ordering a few dresses from Lulus and ASOS. They are still real pretty, and I wasn't wanting a princess look so it worked for me but I know it won't work for everyone. But as a plus size bride, I was happy with the selection.

My dress was bought off the rack and it cost $500 down from $1799 and it was beautiful. I still look at the pictures and love it Smiley smile. I was wondering if we could see a picture of the dress you bought in Vienna for 90 euros? Smiley smile

What a deal! I'm not wearing the right shoes in the picture so the dress is too long, but here it is.

I get that it's a big day, but it's still only one day. I'm kind of obsessing over money though.

It's lovely but did you want to get married in orange? Smiley smile Yes I did get quite a deal and I was very happy because like you I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a dress you only wear for a certain number of hours Smiley smile

It's a wine red. It's hard to tell from the picture. I'm okay wearing a color, I'm actually not sure I want to wear white!

The dress is not something I care about, so my budget for it is $800-900 (alterations included ).I still think it's too much but I'm aware that quality is never cheap.

I haven't picked it yet since I'm 12 months,1 week out but I know it will be minimalist and similar to one of those below:.I'm planning to go to department stores for dress shopping in lieu of 'real' bridal boutiques:

I went to David’s bridal and found my dress but I was t giving them my money they weren’t great at all so I went online and went on poshmark and bought my dress brand new for $450 and then alterations were $80 for thr bustle. So I honestly would check on poshmark

Honestly my dress budget is unlimited, but I love fashion and it's important to me to have the dress I love. I've tried on dresses from $500 to over $10,000. Would love if I found one for less, but don't mind paying more if I love it. I'd rather make concessions somewhere else in the budget or have a smaller wedding if that's what it took. I feel the same for the photographer and videographer.
