dress regret

I am having such bad dress regret. There is nothing I can do so There is no real point in complaining. But still don’t know how to shake this feeling. It is already being made so i can’t change it.

This is more of what I had envisioned myself in. I tried this one on at a bridal show a year before I got my dress. But when I was really dress shopping I think i was more concerned with what I thought my fiancé would want. Even though he kept telling me I will look great with whatever dress I get and to get what I want. But I was too concerned with what others would think and now I’m worried that people will think it’s too “sexy” (with the cutouts” for a wedding.

AND now my worry is.... when I workout and lose weight I always lose it in my boobs first... it’s going to look weird if I become even more smaller chested.

Same thing here. My wedding is in July and I'm sitting on regret, just hoping I can make some alterations to help me love it bc right now I just like it.
    Maybe some alterations can help?
    You're not alone though

I agree with this! I went back to try on more after I purchased mine, found one that I loved and made me giddy but for some reason i ultimately picked mine again

Your face in the photos says it all. The second one is the right one for you.

I can't imagine your stress so I feel for you. I can only say that I read this awesome article on A Practical Wedding (please go read) called something like, "I hated my dress and here's why it didn't matter," that just highlighted how little you will pay attention to the details once you're in full swing on that day. It sucks to feel that way and there's not much people can say but it hopefully won't change how amazing your day is. I truly think some people never feel that "heck yeah this is the dress" that's shoved down all our throats. I didn't! I liked 4 dresses exactly the same. I have no regrets though. Best of luck!

What exactly do you hate about it? Alterations may be able to save it. Like add back details or sleeves. Maybe it can be fixed with a sash or the right accessories. I am just trying to focus on the things that can be changed.

Mine, I think the back is plain and I hate the sleeveless. So I am adding Buttons to the back and sleeves.

The dress is STUNNING on you and you are already in amazing shape! If you are worried about the cutouts, perhaps you could ask the seamstress about filling them in? You might even consider something like a bridal cape or a long veil so that you're more "covered" for the ceremony and then can take it off for the reception!

I think you look fabulous in your original dress and I'm sorry you are feeling such regret! It's definitely not fun. Best of luck!

I feel so awkward when I get my pic taken. I was deliberately not smiling so that I would only focus on how the dress looked on my and nothing else. Lol

The dress you got is perfect for your frame. The dress is made for less chesty people, which I am one of, so if lose some up there it's fine;will need to alter it, though. The cut outs are gorgeous, elegant. You rock that dress so chin up. Smiley smile

I think that the first dress is absolutely stunning on you! It really gives you that "wow-factor"!
And like someone else said, maybe you can do something with some of the cut-outs. Add some extra tulle or fabric. Personally I don't think its "too sexy", but you need to feel 100% comfortable and feel like yourself.Smiley smile

I think it looks absolutely stunning!!! Your picture actually stopped me on another thread because it is somewhat similar to mine with the buttons and train and I thought it was gorgeous!

That is a beautiful dress and fits you perfectly. My regret is that I rushed on the question "what color" and I chose white! I didnt realize what I had done until I got my dress. I absolutely love my dress and it fits me perfect but I really hope i chose the right color (white is supposed to mean "purity") I am hoping the day of my wedding I will just rock it and go on with my day.

I have 2 kids so I’m no longer “pure” 😉 I chose an ivory color. I keep trying to remind myself that people don’t leave a wedding thinking, omg did you see how low quality those table clothes were, or the color of the dress, or that they didn’t have that many flowers. But I have left a wedding saying “holy cow i was sweating my giblets off, why didn’t they have more fans!”

I prefer the second one! I think your first and stance (the way you are standing) looks more relaxed. Which one is more comfortable? That is huge for the day since you have to be in the dress all day and you want to be able to move without getting annoyed.

If you decide to buy the second dress, then I would definitely look into selling the first one to try to recoop some of your money!!
