I was hoping to get some honest stories about dress shopping experiences from brides who are more on the petite/extra-small side.
I am just barely five feet tall and under 100lbs.
I'm so worried that I won't be able to try anything on because nothing will look good.
Or that I will not even be able to alter a dress to fit me, as the seamstress might tell me that it would simply require too much cutting and completely compromise the design of the dress.
Or that alterations would be possible but it'll just be too expensive to do (I unfortunately have a very limited budget).
Or that I'll have to shop for a white junior bridesmaid's dress or a larger flower girl dress.
I have been mocked by family for my height and weight for a long time and I am extremely self conscious about showing up at a bridal boutique and being told that there is nothing for me.
I so badly want the "say yes to the dress" experience of going to a real bridal boutique and trying on real wedding gowns. But I'm just so afraid.
