Dress shopping under $500?

I need help! I’ve been trying to keep my budget tight. We splurged on venue and photography because that’s what we felt was important to us so I’m trying to stay under $500 on my dress. It seems impossible and I’m feeling pretty discouraged. Anybody have luck with this? If so, where? I am in Kansas...

That's INSANE!!! Definitely look online and pick what you like first - one of the dresses I liked online ended up being "the one" (and one of the others was a close runner up). I would definitely go to a different one if there's one reasonably close though - these things tend to be management down.

I'm not from that area, but I would suggest following bridal shops in your area on social media! Almost all that I've followed in my area have posted about Black Friday sales and Bridal Dashes where their dresses are $500 and below!! Stores in your area may be doing that as well!

I also recommend StillWhite. I haven't purchased my dress yet, but I have looked at them as a contender!

I’m not from Kansas City but I live in nyc and was able to get a Beautiful dress at David’s bridal. I went when their season was changing so I got a $2000 dress for $399 which I thought was a steal

I would try Azazie, David's Bridal and lulus. They all have really pretty dresses under $500

I would look up Savvy Bridal on Instagram. They have dresses starting at $800 but you can also snag some dresses off the rack for cheaper I believe. Look out for the sample sales as well. My cousin got her dress from there. Check out the other suggested bridal shops that pop up on Instagram for the KC area and get an idea of when they run sales too.

As a lot of others said, online is great for saving a bit and Azazie has tons and they offer a try on at home option so you can get different styles and try them on (you do have to pay a fee though for shipping, but it’s still cheaper than stores usually). I went to David’s Bridal and had a great experience with them, but I know each store is different.

I found some nice dresses online for under $500, you can always get it altered to fit you better if need be. I know when I went to dress shops it was hard to find one in that price range that I liked. I actually found mine on Amazon. Good luck!

I don’t know what kind of style you’re going for, but this dress was $499 at David’s Bridal and it was a super close second to the one I ended up going with xD. I loved it.

I also recommend following local bridal shops as they tend to have end of season, discontinued and sample sales.

That’s awesome! You look beautiful! Thank you. I went to David’s bridal but they were pulling dresses way out of my budget.

Thank you! I actually ordered a dress off amazon before I even went to try some on and that didn’t end well 😂. I’ve been thinking about giving it another go though.

David's Bridal has dresses $500 and below. In my experience, they have more dresses in the store than they show online. Just be assertive with your stylist that you need to stay in that price range.

Hi Congratulations!...Im not from Kansas but can strongly suggest check every week religiously in the clearance section...its seems never endi g but believe it or not many retired styles start to go in this section...chwck well known shops like davids bridal & then personal salo s & boutiques...dont go all over adding on more stress make a lil radius map for yourself of specific shops & whoever is helping you...also keep in mind many wedding dresses need to be altered in some form or fashion...so make sure incorporate that in your budget as well...Best of Luck
