Tiffany, on September 7, 2021 at 1:14 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 4
Hey everyone! i have my first dress appointment at david’s bridal at the end of next month. i was wondering, about how far in advance should i order my dress from them? i don’t have intentions of buying anything my first appointment so i was just curious how long i have to procrastinate lol.

I would say as long as you ordered it by the end of the year just to give it enough time you should be good. Who knows what will happen with COVID (I know they were backed up when things were shut down) so just to be on the safe side

When I started looking I was told to shoot for 9-12 months in advance just in case, but I didn't order from David's Bridal so they may have a different timeline. I agree with Yasmine that as long as you can order it by the end of the year you should be just fine.

My wedding is Sept. 2022, so about a month before yours, and 2 of the shops I went to said to order by Thanksgiving this year. That would put you at December this year, just like PP said.

Ideally 9-12 months out. Dresses can take that long to arrive (although most I would say tend to take around 6 months) and then alterations might take as much as another 3, so I'd keep those timeframes in mind whilst shopping.
