Dress

So this is probably so dumb!

But I bought two dresses one for my ceremony (more formal) and one for my reception that is very flexible to dance in! My fiancé and I love to dance so an easily moveable dress was very important to me. I absolutely loved both of them and had no doubts in the stores but now that I have them home and have shown my close family/friends they have all told me that they are too simple and look like I went a “cheap” route even though I didn’t. So now I’m stressing about my dress choices. I will admit they are very plain with no jewels but I thought that they looked very classy....

What do y’all think?

I think it’s beautiful! Really the main thing that matters is that YOU love it. If you thing it needs some bling to make others happy you could always try a belt, but I think it’s beautiful and very elegant.

I LOVE your dress! It is absolutely gorgeous. Don't listen to their negativity! You shine in your dress and what matters is that you love it and feel comfortable and beautiful in it!

If you love your dresses nothing else really matters!! You look stunning! Don’t change your mind just because you feel pressured to, it’s your wedding after all.

Your dress is gorgeous and doesn't look "cheap"! Some people can't appreciate beautiful simplicity - less is more!

Thank y’all! This is the reception dress that I chose as well! Also plain white with no frill but I am not a super frilly person. I plan to have an outdoor wedding with a southern elegance style under orchard trees.

Are you kidding me? They're both gorgeous. Now I will tell you though I did add a blinged out belt/sash to mine. So if you feel you do need an extra little something then you can do that or accessorize with accent jewelry, etc. But honestly you're beautiful the dresses are beautiful, it'll be fine Smiley smile wear what you're comfortable in. I know how easy it can be to be swayed by others.

What?! They're crazy. Those are both gorgeous, modern and very classy dresses!!! And I love how neither is the typical lace. You will SHINE. Don't listen to them.

I absolutely love it! The understated is what makes it so beautiful to me. It is classic, will never go out of style and looks AMAZING on you. The hard thing is that they are seeing it hanging, or seeing it in this picture. They aren't seeing it on you, hair and makeup done, jewelry, flowers etc.

Sometimes less is more, I think it’s elegant and beautiful. I would certainly not listen to the opinion that it looks cheap. As long as you feel like a million bucks, and you should cause it looks great, that’s all that matters.

My dress has no bearing or lace or frills, and honestly walked in wanting lace and some beading, especially because we are doing an Art Deco / Great Gatsby theme. But I fell in love with a simple but stunning dress that didn't need anything extra added.
Your dresses are BEAUTIFUL. They're classy and timeless, and you did not go the "cheap route" 🙄
I wouldn't worry, you have picked some stunning dresses.

Looks very classy! A dress with bunches of embellishments, etc. doesn’t always look “expensive” and some look cheesy. But yours is timeless. If anything, maybe add a rhinestone belt (but it’s not needed).

I love your dress. It doesn't look cheap at all. I prefer the plain, satin dresses. They look so elegant to me.
